Video: 2020 Mazda CX-30 2.0L SUV in Malaysia, a Toyota C-HR Rival!

The all-new 2020 Mazda CX-30 is now available for viewing at selected Mazda showrooms in Malaysia. We’ve dropped by at the Mazda Glenmarie showroom to bring you on a Closer Look of the Mazda CX-30.

The variant on display is the Mazda CX-30 2.0L Petrol High variant priced at RM 164,119 (OTR without insurance). There is also the entry-level 2.0L Petrol (RM 143,119) and range-topping 1.8L Diesel High (RM173,027).

All units Mazda CX-30 will be fully imported from Japan and customer deliveries are expected to commence in early 2020. Bermaz Motor has not announced any plans on local assembly (CKD) operations of the CX-30.

Main rivals to the CX-30 are the Toyota C-HR (RM 150,000) and Subaru XV (from RM 117k), not the Honda HR-V as the Honda is based on a smaller, B-segment (Honda Jazz) platform.

Although the CX-30 carries a hefty price tag, Bermaz Motor has been very generous with the equipment list with the High spec variants having the option for Mazda i-ActivSense ADAS, coloured heads up display, LED headlamps, powered tailgate and sunroof.

Petrol variants of the Mazda CX-30 get a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder SkyActiv-G making 163 hp and 213 Nm while the oil burner option is a 1.8-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-D turbodiesel with 114 hp and 270 Nm.

Both engine options are paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission (with Sports Mode) to drive the front wheels. Only High spec variants get paddle shifters.

Bermaz Motor is now accepting orders for the 2020 Mazda CX-30.
