While most car producers add bigger wheels, a sportier interior and a more aggressive design for the sporty versions of their already released models, Peugeot did it differently. The big difference was the engine’s power, the 1.6-liter power plant developing 270 hp. It was the most powerful 1.6-liter engine in the world at that time. The power output was similar to the A45 AMG. The engine was mated to a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. The sports coupe had a top speed of 250 kph and was able to reach 100 kph in 6 seconds.
