In Shanghai,, a can of Coke is under 2.5 RMB, but the ingredients are far inferior to the HK$6 bought in HK. The cheapest is 6.5 RMB for Italy's San Benedetto or under 20 RMB for Perrier at Carrefour. The fuel cost for taxi drivers is above 7RMB/liter, which is greater than in San Francisco (and probably crudier quality).
