What is the best spoken line in any movie?

Dear Zindagi, a movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt in the leads and directed by Gauri Shinde revolves around the life of a messed up girl Kiara (Alia) who finds solace in talking to her therapist Dr. Jug (SRK) and embarks on a beautiful journey of rediscovering herself. ,Every line said by Dr. Jug is a life quote! Here are a few of them : Zindagi ek jigsaw puzzle ki tarah hai. I can help you find the pieces but you will have to complete the game. Don’t let the past blackmail your present to ruin a beautiful future. We all are our own teachers in the school of life. Agar hum apni zindagi ka steering wheel apne haath mein nahi lenge na, toh koi doosra driver seat par baith jayega. Jab hum apne aap ko achchi tarah samajh lete hai, toh doosre kya samajhte hai, it doesn’t matter… not at all. Zindagi mein jab koi pattern banta ya koi aadat banti dikhai de na, toh uske baare mein achchi tarah se sochna chahiye. Genius is about knowing when to stop. I hope they inspire you in some way or the other. If you like, do upvote. :) Picture source: Voompla

What are some good Shahrukh Khan dialogues in Dear Zindagi?

Movie,: ,Dear Zindagi Don't let the past blackmail your present, to ruin a beautiful future Kabhi kabhi hum mushkil rasta sirf is liye chunte hai, kyun ki humein lagta hai, important cheezein paane ke liye humein mushkil rasta apnana chahiye. Apne aap ko punish karna bahut zaroori samajhte hai. But why? Aasaan rasta kyun nahi chun sakte? Kya burai hai us mein? Khaas karke jab us mushkil ka saamna karne ke liye hum taiyaar hi nahi hai! ,(,Translation: Sometimes we choose a difficult path only because we feel that to attain important things we need to choose a difficult path. We think that it's important to punish ourselves. But why can't we choose a simple path? What's wrong with that? Especically when we are not ready to face that difficult path!) Albert Einstein ne kaha tha, “pagal woh hota hai joh roz roz same kaam karta hai, magar chahta hai ki nateeja alag ho.” ,(Translation: Albert Einstein had said that, “A person is mad when he does the same work everyday, but still expects the result to be different.”) Jab hum apne aap ko achhi tarah samajh lete hai, to dusre kya samajhte hai, it doesn't matter. Not at all! ,(Translation: When we understand ourselves well enough, then it doesn't matter what others think about us. Not at all!) Genius woh nahi hota jiske paas har sawaal ka jawab ho, Genius woh hota hai jiske paas har jawaab tak pahunchne ka patience ho! ,(Translation: A person who has the answer to every question is not a genius, a genius is a person who has the patience to get to every answer) Tum agar khulke ro nahi sakogi, toh khulkar has kaise sakogi,.,(Translation: If you are not able to cry openly, then how will you laugh openly.) Zindagi mein jab koi pattern banta ya koi aadat banti dikhai de na, toh uske baare mein achhi tarah se sochna chahiye, genius is about knowing when to stop. ,(Translation: In life when you see a pattern or a habit forming, then you should think about that very carefully, genius is about knowing when to stop.) Agar hum apni zindagi ka steering wheel apne haath mein nahi lenge na, toh koi doosra driver seat par baith jayega. ,(Translation: If we don't take the steering wheel of our life in our own hands, then someone else will sit on the driver's seat.) Zindagi ek jigsaw puzzle ki tarah hai; mere jaise log us puzzle ke khoye hue tukde, sirf dhoondne aur jodne mein madad kar sakte hai, par only you can complete the puzzle! ,(Translation: Life is like a jigsaw puzzle; people like me can only help you in finding and connecting the puzzle piece, but only you can complete the puzzle!) We are all our own teachers in the school of life. I drink only on two occasions, when I'm in love and when I'm not! Safe feel karne ke liye pehle saare dar mitana zaroori hai! ,(Translation: To feel safe you first need to remove all your fears!) Amazing dialogue delivery and exquisite timing. Must Watch. Thanks. :)

What are the best Bollywood movie dialogues of 2016?

I loved few dialogues of Dear Zindagi: Jab hum apne aap ko achchi tarah samajh lete hai ... toh doosre kya samajhte hai, it doesn't matter Zindagi mein jab koi pattern banta ya koi aadat banti dikhai de na ... toh uske baare mein achchi tarah se sochna chahiye ... genius is about knowing when to stop Agar hum apni zindagi ka steering wheel apne haath mein nahi lenge na ... toh koi doosra driver seat par baith jayega Hum kitni kursiyaan dekhte hain koi ek lene se pehle… Phir apna life partner choose karne se pehle options dekhne mein kya problem hai? Hum hamesha mushkil raasta kyun chunte hain zaroori kaam ke liye? Kya pata aasan raaste se bhi kaam ho jaye..

What are some of the best dialogues in Bollywood movies of all time?

These are from the Gauri Shinde film - ,Dear Zindagi ,(All of these are life lessons and not “,Typical,” Bollywood dialogues so choose your ,best,) 1., Kaira ,-, ,Tells about her fear of losing someone from the past., ,Jug ,-, ,Don’t let the ,past,, blackmail your ,present, to ruin a beautiful ,future,. 2. ,Jug, - Agar hum apni zindagi ka steering wheel apne haath me nahi lenge na, toh koi dusra driver seat par baith jaega. TRANSLATION - ,If we don’t take over the steering wheel of our life, then someone else will sit on the driving seat. 3. , ,Jug - ,jab hum apne aap ko achi tarha samajh lete hai, toh dusra kya samajhte hai, it doesn’t matter… not at all. TRANSLATION - ,When we understand ourselves totally and are aware of our own strengths and weaknesses, then it doesn’t matters, what others think about you. 4. ,Kaira - ,Tells about how the society thinks about a girl when she has had more than 1 relationships., ,Jug - ,Ek kursi choose karne se pehle hum itni saari kursiyaan dekhte hai, toh ek life partner choose karne se pehle, humein options nahi dekhne chaiye kya ? TRANSLATION - ,before buying one chair/sofa we try all the types of it, some are comfortable but look shit, some look good but are not comfortable, and after testing all of them, we finally buy that one perfect chair/sofa. So, shouldn’t we try options before sticking to a relationship and making him/her your life partner. This movie has solutions to most of the relationship problems nowadays. If you haven’t seen it, give it a watch. You will surely love it.

What is best dialogue of Dear Zindagi movie?

According to my opinion these are some of the best Dialogues from Dear Zindagi. (Personal favorite)Jab hum apne aap ko acchi tarah se samaj lete he toh dusre kya samajte he it doesn't matter… nothing at all. ,When we understand ourselves well enough then it doesn't matter what others understand… nothing at all. Rona, gussa, nafrat kuch khulkar express krne nahi diya, ab pyar kaise express kare? ,They didn’t allow us to express crying, anger and hatred openly, now how can you express love. Don’t let your past blackmail your present into ruining a beautiful future. Khul kar ro nahi sakogi toh khul kar has kaise paogi? ,If you are not able to cry openly ... then how will you laugh openly. Hum itni kursian dekhte he ek lene se pehle, phir apna life partner choose krne se pehle options dekhne me kya problem he. ,We see so many chairs before choosing one, then what’s wrong in seeing options before you choose your life partner? Zindagi mein jab koi pattern banta ya koi aadat banti dikhai de na ... toh uske baare mein achhi tarah se sochna chahiye ... genius is about knowing when to stop. ,In life when you see a pattern or a habit forming ... then you should think about that very carefully ... genius is about knowing when to stop. Agar hum apni zindagi ka steering wheel apne haath mein nahi lenge na ... toh koi doosra driver seat par baith jayega. ,If we don't take the steering wheel of our life in our own hands ... then someone else will sit on the driver's seat. Safe feel karne ke liye pehle saare dar mitana zaroori hai.,To feel safe you first need to remove all your fears.

India: What is it like to dial 100 in India? Is it as responsive as dialling 911 in USA?

This incident happened a couple of years ago in Navi Mumbai. I had got my friend’s old Royal Enfield home (cast iron engine and the RHS gears) just for some fun rides. Post dinner around 11:00 PM, when the roads were almost empty, me and my wife decided to go for a ride. It was about 1:00 AM by the time we were on our way back. I was riding at a reasonable speed on the empty highway patch leading from Belapur towards Kharghar when a Tata Indica overtook us. A minute later when we were nearing the Kharghar flyover, I saw that Indica slam onto the divider between the flyover and the road. ‘F**k!,’, was my first reaction, because it was a nasty collision and it wouldn’t have been farther than 200 m from us. We decided to stop and help. By the time I put the bike on the side stand and got off, the driver had opened the door and fell on the ground with his hands on his chest. I imagined the steering wheel might have hit him hard. Moments later, a passenger got out from the back of the car completely in shock. I ran and helped the driver get on his feet but he couldn’t. I somehow managed to get him to the side of the road. Meanwhile, my wife was trying to help passenger and I saw her struggling to communicate with him. He couldn’t respond to anything she was asking. “Are you ok?. Are you hurt?” “You need to call somebody. Do you have someone who stays nearby?” “Give me you phone, I’ll call. Tell me a name. Whom should I call?” He had absolutely no response. Once I sat the driver on the pavement, I went and took over the conversation my wife was trying to have. I asked her to go and talk to the driver and calm him down. I asked the passenger whether this was his office cab and he whispered ,“No”,. So I asked him whether it was Ola or Uber. He said ,“Ola”,. I took him to the side of the road too and made him sit. I asked him where he stayed, to which he said ,“Kalamboli.”, Then I asked if anybody else stayed with him. He took a name I don’t remember now. I asked him to calm down and call the person and ask him to come there. He wasn’t physically hurt except for a bruise on his elbow so I just asked him to relax and breathe and decided to focus on the driver who clearly was in agonizing pain. When I went back to the driver, he had started spitting blood. My wife told me he was saying ‘seth marega mereko’ (Translation: my boss will hit me). So I asked him, “kaun hai seth? Phone de tera. Call lagane de seth ko tere.” (Translation: Who’s your boss? Give me your phone, let me call him.) All the above happened within 2 minutes and no one really got the chance to grasp the situation and react. And then it got worse. We were adjacent to where the Kharghar flyover starts. Nobody else till then had bothered to stop and help. Then, a Dzire who was heading towards the flyover slowed down to see what had happened and “BAMM!” a Qualis hit the Dzire from the back, and again “BAMM!” a Bolero hit the Qualis and then another car hit the Bolero. And then another! In mere 5 seconds, it turned into a pile-up! Me and my wife looked at each other in utter shock! This time, a guy on a bike passing by on the other side of the road stopped to help. There were kids in the Bolero and there was smoke coming out of the bonnet. People inside started panicking. I ran and helped the guy get everyone out. This is when I took out my phone and dialed 100. First attempt - *Ring* -call dropped- Second attempt - *weird noise* Third attempt - *Ring* “,Police Control room,” “,Yahan bada accident hua…,” (Translation: There has been a big accident here…) -call dropped- Fourth attempt - -no ring, nothing- Fifth attempt - *Ring* Operator: “,Police control room,” Me: “,Madam, Kharghar flyover ke yahan accident hua hai. 5–6 gadiyan hai. Ek driver ko bohot maar lagi hai, please ambulance bhi bhejiye.,” (Translation: Madam, there has been an accident near the Kharghar flyover. There are 5–6 vehicles involved. One of the drivers is severely injured, please send an ambulance as well) Operator: “,Kharghar me kahan pe?,” (Translation: Where in Kharghar?) Me: “,Highway pe flyover jahan…,” (Translation: On the highway where the flyover…) -call dropped- “,F**k, this is useless!,”, I said out loud and gave up. Went to see the status of the Indica driver. By this time some more people had stopped to help the people injured in the pile-up. My wife had been speaking to the Indica driver’s boss over the phone trying to tell him that the car had been in an accident and that his driver was badly injured. She told me that the “seth” was least bothered and said, “haan dekha jayega. Kal dekhenge.” (Translation: Yeah it’s fine. I’ll see to it tomorrow.) The Indica driver seemed to be going unconscious so I just sat there with him asking random things just to keep him awake. About 5 minutes later, 2 policemen on patrol came by, saw the accident and radioed in. In 5 more minutes, fee more cops arrived along with an ambulance. They were naturally drawn towards the pile-up and scarily crying kids. I got hold of one of the cops and told him that this Indica driver is badly hurt and needed immediate attention. He came with me, saw the driver’s condition and called for a stretcher. When the ambulance left, I went to see the same cop and told him that we saw everything. We narrated the entire episode and I gave him my number. He said he’d call me if he needed. Then we left. It was a long ride home feeling numb, speechless and utter disbelief. My wife kept crying on our way back and I couldn’t assemble an “It’s okay now.” That night and on the days that followed, I kept wondering if I’d ever call 100 if I personally were in an emergency. In all those hollywood movies we see people relying on 911 for help in emergencies and we assume our 100 would work the same way. In this incident though, it didn’t. It completely failed to do what it was supposed to do. I respect our cops and the tough job they do to keep our streets safe, but what is the point if I can never reach them when I actually need them? It seemed like there were technical issues when I was trying to reach 100. If that is the case usually, it would probably be the worst reason and excuse for not getting help in emergencies. Hire more people, get a bigger switchboard or whatever, upgrade the equipment, but please make it relaible. People don’t like calling 100 and they don’t want to call. But when they do, its for dire reasons. Reliability is the key component here.

Dear zindagi Don’t let the past blackmail your present to ruin a beautiful future. Hum Kitni Qursiyan Dekhte Hain Koyi Ek Lene Se Pehle… Phir Apna Life Partner Choose Karne Se Pehle Options Dekhne Main Kya Problem Hai (When we go to buy chairs we try many before buying one, so then what is the problem in looking for options while selecting a life partner?) What are the pros and cons of being a tall Indian?

You are 16 with 5′7″. That isn’t tall but yes you feel it as you see in your surrounding, many people which are quite on a scale of 5′3 approximately. I was 5′11 at the age of 16. and now as in my 20th year, I am 6′4″ guy. (Quite a good point of observation right?) Don’t hate for what you are. Your height may get hurt and misbehave. Height is quite often the first thing one person notice about another person, so it plays a big role in the dynamics of *ATTRACTION*. ,Anyone above 6′ is having a great personality and a point of notice for every person nearby. Please note- “ ,We aren’t aliens. We are humans of your society only. So please accept us as a normal human being. ,Don’t stare at us, in-fact come and start a conversation with the most obvious topics- *Did you drank a lot of bournvita? ,* *What is the secret of your height?* *How’s the weather up there?* And a lot of weird things! Never ending comments, and yes compliments too ;) I love my height. Standing out (physically) my whole life has led me to be much more confident and fearless of being different. There are definitely a lot of great ignorant people i deal who make a huge deal about my height, probably to bury their own insecurity or intimidation. They make endless unwarranted comments, trying to tell me that I seem "too tall" or "too big." They'll say, "You carry it well," or "Just don't wear boots or shoes with heels and you're fine." They act shocked when I say I'm six feet and four inches, and beg me to stand back-to-back. Absolutely, ,It makes me feel like a zoo animal. There are a lot of problems which are faced by every above 6′ person out here. I am going to mention some points with the benefits and the issues faced by a men. As brother, ,Rohit Pawar, has mentioned every major point like being a selfie stick of the group, feeling incompatible, and the most worst clothes issue. Yes we feel teased when we look the short guys wearing awesome wears and we dream about that stuff if available of our size and a lot of other things. With few missing points, Here i go- The public transport problem,. In the local low floor buses or mini-buses of Jaipur. I can’t even imagine to travel. but if in case i have to, i will stand near the gate as there is quite comfortable space to stand otherwise you are going to be pissed. Bikes,, ,Cars ,much comfortable for me now. I can’t imagine now to travel with comfort.Forget to drive the hatchbacks. knees hitting the steering wheel. I learnt to drive in small cars and my legs were constantly hitting the steering wheel. You would think us, tall people would love seeing another tall person,, well no. There’s just an uncomfortable silence and we’ll both (very discreetly) stare at each other from afar. Family photos ,turn out to be lopsided. i have to manage anyway to fit in the frame. You always have to stand back in the group photos. I have to struggle a lot while ,purchasing, for your birthday dress. Either clothes are short in sleeves or wider. I remember, on my birthday last year, I walked in every showroom out there in World trade park, Tonk Road, Raja park, Vaishali Nagar and faced the same problem of sleeves and length everywhere, shoulders were paining after trying so many shirts and thinking if i am alone on this earth who is facing this issue, and finally found a piece of shirt and trouser for the next day. ( After 2 days) My friends have to run to keep up with me., Yes, if I am walking, one move by me is equal to their two moves. Relaxing in a bathtub just isn’t the same. Can’t enjoy the shower either. Actually, nothing in a bathroom is your size. Legs falling out from the bed. ,Normal size of the bed if 6*6′ and that was quite comfortable till i was 16. Now i have my special bed of 8*8′, I know it is strange but yes it is true. *,Beta/bhai basketball mai boht scope hai. tu to khade khade ball daal dega* ,*Son/Brother, You have a lot of scope in basketball if you are having such a good height. You will make the ball in the pocket just by standing on the ground* You’re expected to be good at basketball,!!!! ( Do you play basketball?) This has a couple of meanings. The first is that if anyone asks (and they will), you do play basketball. Even if you don’t, you do. It’s worth it to save everyone from having to deal with the irrational amount of disappointment that will be manifested when you say no. The second meaning is that even if you don’t play basketball, you will. Someone will recruit you for an intramural league, refuse to take no for an answer and then be angry when you don’t live up to expectations. Life isn’t fair. Ceilings are often a nuisance., Hit in the wall or ceilings and listening jokes or watching laughing faces around you. Everything about an airplane is not designed for us,. The uncomfortable leg-room and the washroom. I am quite lucky that twice of my travel by air, i got my seat near the empty seat and i was flying with a good nap. Airplane seats are knee destroyers! Travelling in the economy class is terrible. *imagine a long 3–4 hours flight.* ( for others who aren’t that much lucky, please do the web check-in and book the seats near emergency doors as they have a good leg space and you will be the first to escape if the plane…… *Minor Joke* I might get a good view at a concert/movie, but everyone else hates me. ,And yes,it is true. *IMAGINE* ( ,person behind you saying-*bhai thoda niche ho ja*) People getting misunderstood about my age. *,If a person has a good height doesn’t means he is also married or working, few of them are still studying* *,Bhai itni height hai teri, bulllettt (Royal enfield) kyu ni le leta. Tujhpar to vahi jachegi.* ,ENGLISH- *,Brother you have such a good height, why don’t you buy a royal enfield, it will suit perfect on you* Me-, *thank you bro, Please buy the classic model for me* It’s hard to find someone your height to date. ,Girls do have a normal height of 5′3″, few with more and many with less and rare with 5′8″+. You are lucky if you have the one. The caring relatives are majorly a trouble while they meet at any function or any get-together. They be like *,itni lambi ladki kaha se layenge* *where we will find such a tall girl for you* And my template reply to those all is- “You are the one who will find such a girl for me.” *silence* “I will find at my own. Please don’t put efforts.” :) *with a smile* *stares* I am still waiting for my ,full length mirror, in room and still bending my neck or legs to give a perfect look to my hairs. *,a major concern*. Parents be like- *,ek to height, upar se 4 inch baal or bdha liye*. ,English- * You are so tall and in addition to it you have more 4 inches length of your hairs* #sarcastic_parents. People ALWAYS insist you’ve grown since you last saw them., Oh please! who grows an inch every month who is already 6′4″. The back pain becomes a major health issue for the tall guys. Just because we have to bend our body more than any normal person, and this becomes worse day by day! And the most hated comment which i and most of people like me get -*,thodi si height mujhe de de* *thodi se legs kaat ke muje de de* TRANSLATION- “please give me a share of your height” “please cut a small piece of your legs and give me” Can one can ask something more stupid than this? People love saying the following lines… “What’s the weather like up there?” and “Oh haven’t you grown?” and “What did your mother feed you as a child? Miracle Grow?” People often laugh, some of them genuinely believe that’s the first time I’ve heard that comment. Oh please!! Enough now! Now let us move to the benefits more than the issues of being a tall indian guy- The conversation with 50% of the new people i meet, starts with the topic about my height. It moves on a long nice conversation and has a good ending. i have heard a lot of times that tall guys are a point of attraction to girls :P is it? No one can usually ignore you,. Is it a small thing to ignore? Obviously not! You might have a good command in the sports whether it is indoor or outdoor. The theory that all tall men play sports well, however, is a misconception. Height doesn’t account for skill or training, but it does give you a distinct advantage over those who are shorter in stature. Tall men have prettier girlfriends., (Mostly) ;) Shorter men are often looked down on (no pun intended) as being “less” of a man that those who are naturally tall. People seem to naturally, respect, those that are taller than they are, and look up to (pun absolutely intended) those who tower over them in height. If you’re tall man, you know what i am talking about. Your height helps you seem older, wiser and beyond your years. Make it work for you however you wish. You can always reach things., Especially useful for the lazy. I could reach virtually anything in my room without leaving my bed. Little kids obey you by default, for some reason. I pin this almost entirely on my height. I usually go to ,Govind dev ji temple,Jaipur. ,Those who don’t know about it. let me share a picture. Time- 4 AM This is the place where i stand. ( Please don’t interpret that photo is clicked by bringing the phone upwards. It is just a normal click.) One of the major benefits i get is i can easily view the whole easily as many of them don’t manage. So i comfortably stand at last and enjoy the ceremony. ;) In my words, ,Height brings the confidence,. Confidence about everything. Makes your personality classy. Nobody ever tried to steal anything from my pockets. I'm probably evaluated as "risky" by pick-pocketers. Can skip more stairs while going upstairs. If you are wearing formals and suited well, I bet no one can look classy than you. Changing light bulbs, approaching to upper storage, getting items off the top shelfs. ,All no problem. Ladder? What ladder? Manuj is the ladder. Being able to spot and be spotted.,In crowds I can spot the people we’re trying to find or they can spot me. It’s always handy. No one wants to fight a tall guy. ,I hope this continues, but up until now I’ve never been in any trouble. No one wants to fight someone a lot taller than them, the reach alone is very hard to deal with. So it’s served me well so far. Whether being bullied at school/college by teachers and staff, I always managed to escape. Trust me, short people are ,usually ,a target. (Psychologically.) There are many and many benefits which we observe and experience which can’t be summarized at all. Hence, i don’t think you are too big that you regret. As i said above, love your height and enjoy being tallest among your group, and yes, the most front face in the group selfies. Almost 5 out of 50 are above average. Not everyone gets the same what you have got. My parents had taught me- “BE PROUD WHAT YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE GOT” Thanks for your readings. Ignore if u get any grammatical mistake. Please upvote, it takes just 2 seconds, and most importantly, Don’t get offended if you disagree with any point or anything. This is an answer made on my general viewpoint about the concern to height. It is written without keeping any personal values. CHEERS!
