This morning a team of 18 officials from the Seremban Fire and Rescue Department were called to Sungai Linggi, Seremban after witnesses spotted a car in the water.
After conducting a brief investigation, Seremban Fire and Rescue Department Commander Mohammad Idris reported that though the engine of the Audi A6 was still on, the driver had managed to escape the car before it plunged into the river.
Officials were able to track down the driver after the car was found and discovered that the victim had returned home after the incident.
The driver was reportedly heading to his home in Rahang, not far from the location the car was found when he fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of his car before it plunged into the river.
