![Jaecoo J7: Alternative to Honda CR-V, Priced below RM 200k, RoI to open this week 01]()
Jaecoo Malaysia will be accepting registrations of interest (RoI) for the Jaecoo J7, starting from 10-April 2024. Customers keen in pre-ordering one can register their names at Jaecoo Malaysia’s website. Alternatively, Klang Valley customers can visit the brand’s roadshow at 1Utama Shopping Centre (Level LG, Highstreet).
Prices have yet to be confirmed, but Jaecoo Malaysia’s President, Leo Chen, has confirmed that it will be below RM 200,000, thus putting it in the same price bracket as the Honda CR-V (from RM 159,900 to RM 195,900).

Specifications have yet to be confirmed, but the Jaecoo J7 unit previewed in Desa Park City last month had a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder (197 PS/290 Nm), paired to a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
All-wheel drive was hinted at, but there may also be an entry front-wheel drive variant.
Other features shown on the preview unit are Sony sound system, a laminated acoustic windshield, a full-length panoramic sunroof, and a 14.8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
