![First Tesla Supercharging station in Penang comes online, 4 DC Superchargers in Sunway Carnival Mall 01]()
Tesla has recently powered up its first Supercharging station in Penang, Malaysia, located at Sunway Carnival Mall in Seberang Jaya.
This new station joins two other Destination Charging stations in the state—one at The Ship Campus in Batu Kawan and another at All Seasons Place in Air Itam. The new station is aimed at offering Tesla owners more ease to travel from Singapore through Johor to Penang.
The Sunway Carnival Supercharging Station features 4 (DC) Superchargers. In total, there are now 4 (DC) Superchargers and 12 (AC) Destination Chargers in Penang alone.

Tesla also offers seamless charging solutions via its ‘Plug in, charge and go’ feature. Through the Tesla App, users can easily locate, navigate to, and monitor the status of Superchargers and have their payments processed automatically. The DC Supercharging rate is RM 1.25/kWh.
Sunway Carnival Mall is located at 3068, Jalan Todak, Pusat Bandar Seberang Jaya, Seberang Jaya, 13700 Perai, Pulau Pinang. The Supercharger station is open 24 hours and parking costs RM 5.00/hour.
Currently, Tesla has 8 Supercharging stations (40 DC chargers) and 10 Destination Charging stations (61 AC chargers) in Malaysia, with ongoing expansion to facilitate travel between Malaysia and Singapore, where there are a further 11 Supercharging stations and 9 Destination Charging stations.
