In just a little over a month since its global debut, the Tesla Model 3 ‘Highland’ has arrived in Malaysia.
The Tesla Model 3 Highland starts at RM 189,000 for the Standard Range variant and RM 218,000 for the Long Range model. These prices exclude additional options like special colours and full self-driving capability, which can add RM 5,000 to RM 32,000 to the base price.
The Standard Range Model 3 features a rear-mounted electric motor for rear-wheel drive (RWD). It offers a range of 513 km per WLTP standards and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.
The Model 3 Long Range is equipped with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, extending the range to 629 km according to WLTP standards. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.

Regarding charging, all variants support up to 11 kW for AC charging. DC charging for the RWD variant is rated at 170 kW, while the AWD Long Range can handle up to 250 kW for DC charging.
The Model 3 Highland offers wheel choices of 18-inch Photon Wheels and 19-inch Nova Wheels, designed to enhance efficiency and appearance.

Inside, the interior of the Model 3 Highland includes an upgraded audio system, offering 9 or 17 speakers depending on the variant. Rear passengers can control various functions through a dual-screen rear control system.
Traditional stalks have been replaced by a multifunctional steering wheel that integrates essential functions such as turn signals and high beams.

The Model 3 Highland features an all-vegan interior with tech textiles, suspended elements, and matte aluminium trim for a minimalistic look. Enhanced noise reduction has been achieved through new seals and dual-layer 360-degree acoustic glass, reducing road noise by up to 31 percent in the 50-1000 Hz range.
Pearl White Multi-Coat comes standard, with Solid Black and Deep Blue Metallic options for an extra RM 5,000. You can upgrade to Stealth Grey for RM 7,500 or choose Ultra Red for RM 11,000, which are both new colours.
The Model 3 in Malaysia comes with a 4-year/80,000 km basic vehicle warranty, while the battery is covered by an 8-year/160,000 km warranty. The Long Range variant boast an extended 192,000 km warranty with a minimum 70% battery capacity retention.
As mentioned in an earlier report, customer deliveries are expected to commence by year’s end. Tesla is also ensuring that its service centre at the Cyberjaya headquarters will be fully prepared to serve customers by that time.
