Tesla has launched the Model 3 ‘Highland’ facelift in Thailand. The base Tesla Model 3 RWD starts at THB 1,599,000 (around RM 204k), while the Long Range AWD variant is priced from THB 1,899,000 (around RM 242k).
Like the Model 3 in Malaysia, the Standard Range features a rear-mounted electric motor (RWD), giving it 513 km of range per the WLTP. Accelerating from 0-100 km/h takes 6.1 seconds.
The Long Range variant gets two motors (for AWD), and pushes the range to 629 km according to the WLTP test cycle. 0-100 km/h sprinted is completed in 4.4 seconds.
The facelifted Tesla Model 3 in Thailand gets new wheel choices – 18-inch Photon Wheels and 19-inch Nova Wheels, which are said to not only enhance aesthetics but also reduce drag for improved efficiency.
Two new paint options have been introduced, Stealth Grey and Ultra Red, alongside classic choices like black, white, and blue. The redesigned taillights add a "C" shape to the rear.
Inside the cabin, the audio system has been revised with 9 or 17 speakers depending on variant, all claimed to be optimised for a cinematic audio experience. Passengers in the rear can control various functions, from air conditioning to entertainment, with the dual-screen rear control system.
As seen in the global debut, the new Model 3 removes traditional stalks and features a multi-functional steering wheel that integrates essential functions like turn signals and high beams. The left scroll control on the steering wheel allows easy adjustment of acceleration modes and screen brightness.
Sustainability-conscious customers will appreciate the all-vegan interior, featuring tech textiles, suspended elements, and matte aluminium trim, creating a minimalist aesthetic.
Enhanced noise reduction, courtesy of new seals and dual-layer 360-degree acoustic glass, reduces road noise by up to 31 percent in the 50-1000 Hz range, enhancing cabin quietness.
As for Malaysia, Tesla is gearing up for the local debut of the Model 3 ‘Highland’ this month, with customer deliveries starting by year’s end.
