At the opening of Tesla Malaysia's Cyberjaya headquarters, it was revealed that the Tesla Model 3 'Highland' facelift is set to arrive in Malaysia this month in October 2023, as disclosed by Tesla Regional Director Isabel Fan.

However, as reported earlier during the global debut of the Model 3 Highland, actual customer deliveries are anticipated to kick off by the year's end. Tesla is also ensuring that its service centre will be fully prepared to serve customers by that time.

Just to recap, the Model 3 Highland starts from RM 189,000 for the Standard Range, while the Model 3 Long Range starts from RM 218,000. This is before special colours or options; which ranges from an extra RM 5,000 (colours) to RM 32,000 (full-self driving capability).

Performance-wise, the Standard Range features a rear-mounted electric motor (RWD), giving it 513 km of range per the WLTP. Accelerating from 0-100 km/h takes 6.1 seconds.

The Long Range variant gets two motors (for AWD), and pushes the range to 629 km according to the WLTP test cycle. 0-100 km/h sprinted is completed in 4.4 seconds.
