There's no signal stalk on the Tesla Model 3 Highland, is it for better or for worse?

Between all that's new about the 2023 Tesla Model 3 Highland – that's coming to Malaysia by the end of this year – its interior has got an equally wide span of updates as the rest of the car has.
Headlining the model's first major update in six years is a revamped exterior, now featuring slimmer LED lights up front and back, new wheels, and two new colours.
The cabin rightfully has tons of new stuff, not least of all now coming with customisable LED ambient lighting, as well as customisable trim. Ventilated seats are new to the model too, and rear seat occupants get an 8-inch screen display at the back to control entertainment and air-conditioning.
In line with those too is a brand-new steering wheel, which now features capacitive buttons right by the sides, negating the need for 'old-school' signal light stalks. This may take some getting used to, and whether it's a good or bad thing is up to the driver's preference, and how soon they can get used to.
Technically, manufacturers have been playing with this stalk-less take, and it's come to different levels of success. Way back then, the 1970s Citroen CX didn't have them; in the modern ages even Ferraris have opted for thumb-operated buttons on the steering wheel.
Meanwhile, the Tesla Model 3 Highland is priced from RM 189k to RM 218k, for the models in basic white paint + 18-inch wheels specification. Prices will go up when you add options, which range from exterior and interior colours as well as the complement of Tesla's Full Self Driving (FSD) suite.
