Next Perodua Myvi needs BSM to retain 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating

According to the current 2017-20 methodology, there are 25 out of 37 vehicles crash-tested by ASEAN NCAP which received the maximum 5-star rating. The Perodua Myvi scored impressively well, which makes it one of the safest cars tested by the safety organisation. However, a new methodology will be introduced for 2021-25 and if Perodua wants to retain that rating, it needs to add a blind-spot monitor (BSM). Ever since ASEAN NCAP published its first report in 2013, the methodology has been updated

Perodua Ativa or Axeda – Other possible names for the 2021 Perodua D55L?

Now this is interesting, as a recent report from Automachi claims that the upcoming Perodua D55L will get a model name that starts with an “A”. Seeing that Perodua has yet to register any new names recently, we believe that the company may potentially pick a name that was registered a few years ago, including names such as Atriva, Axeda, and Ativa. Out of those three names, only the Ativa and Axeda names remain registered, as Perodua has since abandoned the Atriva name. In fact, a recent post fr

Is it true that the Proton Saga is cheaper to maintain than a Perodua Bezza? The answer is not that simple.

Both the Perodua Bezza and Proton Saga are Malaysia’s cheapest sedans, but which one is cheaper to maintain? If you were to make a simple comparison based Proton's quoted prices for its maintenance plan, the Saga's total maintenance cost over a 5-year/100,000 km period is cheaper than the Bezza by about RM 140. The Perodua Bezza will cost RM 3,149 to maintain while the Proton Saga costs a slightly cheaper RM 3,008. That's a neglibible difference over a five-year/100,000 km period. However, keep

Top-5 cars to buy for income earners of around RM 2,500 per month

Some say to find out your affordability of cars, simply take your gross annual income figure. If you’re earning RM 2,500 per month, your annual income would be RM 30,000, and that would be the car price you’re able to afford. However, we’d argue that it’s dependent on each individuals’ priorities and requirements. A bachelor with minimal commitments will be able to afford a little more, while individuals responsible for several family members will be rather tight on budget. So, we've set a price
