看来，Isuzu D-Max似乎没有被其双生车型Mazda BT-50超越的风险，因为D-Max将先于BT-50在马来西亚上市。
据WapCar.my了解，Mazda向其海外经销商下达了指示，要求要尊重其合作伙伴Isuzu，并给予Isuzu优先推出D-Max的特权。
在全新D-Max的第一个出口市场——澳大利亚，澳洲Mazda公司有意将BT-50在当地的上市时间推迟了一个月，并在2020年9月29日才公布BT-50的价格和规格，比Isuzu D-Max到达当地的Mazda经销商处晚了近一个月。
或许这也是Mazda决定抛弃之前的合作伙伴Ford，转而选择Isuzu的原因。两家日本企业有着相似的文化和思维方式，合作的效果似乎很好。

Mazda BT-50是与Isuzu合作开发的，Mazda以Isuzu D-Max为基础，重新进行了造型设计，但在车体下，BT-50的机械结构与D-Max其实是完全相同的。
在此之前，Mazda BT-50是以Ford Ranger为基础开发的，并由Mazda与Ford共同拥有的位于泰国Rayong的Auto Alliance工厂生产。而在与合作伙伴Ford分手之后，目前的全新款BT-50则是在世界领先的柴油引擎制造商Isuzu的协助下开发的。

Isuzu D-Max和Mazda BT-50都是在泰国Isuzu汽车有限公司（IMCT）位于Samutprakarn的工厂生产的。不过，大马版的新款D-Max是否会从泰国整车进口，或者是在Pekan的DRB-Hicom工厂进行本地组装，还有待进一步的确认。
此前，Mazda经销商Bermaz Motor的母公司Bermaz Auto曾表示，Mazda BT-50将在2021年第一季在马来西亚上市。但就目前的情况来看，这肯定是不会发生的。
相反，从当前的信息来看，反而是新款的Isuzu D-Max即将在大马上市。大马Isuzu的经销商已经将上一代D-Max的大部分库存销售一空。
Mazda经销商的旧款BT-50也卖得差不多了，但Mazda的皮卡车在Bermaz的总销量中只占很小的比例。
由于D-Max是大马Isuzu旗下唯一一款轻型商用车产品，可以肯定的是，大马Isuzu肯定会以最快的速度推出新款D-Max，否则其经销商将因为缺少核心产品而遭受损失。
全新的Isuzu D-Max来势汹汹，它的威猛外观可以与Ford Ranger相媲美，但同时它又有着Isuzu的可靠口碑。
在泰国，D-Max已经超越了Toyota Hilux，成为当地销量第一的皮卡车。而在一个以Hilux为代名词的国家来说，这是一个相当大的成就。

Is Mazda better and more reliable than Toyota? or are they closer? In the past few years, I always drive toyota cars, from my uncle’s 2004 camry to my dad’s corolla. The reliability of toyota’s car has been stellar. Now I am planning to buy my own car and consider Civic, Accord and Camry. But, they are just...boring to me. However, when I saw the red Mazda 3 at forum I fell in love with this car immediately. But none of my friends and family ever own Mazda car and it seems Mazda is not so popular in Malaysia like toyota and honda. So, I want to know what do you guys think of Mazda cars.
