The wiper jets on this car are like an old man pissing.
Tires must be put on by a tire shop with Coates tire machines. Wiper jets need to be put by a dealer or shop that is familiar with installing them. You may just need a new washer fluid pump assembly and make sure to clean out the tank (reservior) so there is no sediment / dirt inside to damage the new pump.
Yes they do. When you’re flying an approach in the pouring rain you need to be able to clear away the water.
In most of the case, some subsonic attacker has window wipers. Wipers need work on a flat surface, in the 1950s, most of the windshields include a large flat surface at the front. for example early version of A-4 Sky-hawk. Another one is U.K. Hawker Hunter trainer variant, fighter version don’t have it.
The simple answer is yes!! Jetliners all have windscreen wipers and we use them for takeoff and landing and taxing. We don't use them at other times as nothing we do actually requires us to see precisely where we are going, as we are operating on instruments. Historically, at least in the UK, we had a rain repellent that we could activate to spray on the glass. This was to aid the wipers which in heavy rain were easily overwhelmed. This was highly effective and gave a much clearer view of the runway……but its highly toxic, and in the event of a leak produced a state of intoxication that could be fatal to the safe operation of the aircraft, and so was removed from UK registered aircraft.
I don't know much about turbine aircraft - but yes, I have seen them, and they do have window wipers. Looks to me like they are permanently attached to the airplane, so I don't think they can be stowed or deployed in flight. To do that someone would have to sit on the nose of the airplane while it is in flight, and remove or install them as needed. I don't think that would be practical, unless it was a very nice warm day. Even then, not sure what the air-flow would do especially if the installer was a cute girl wearing a mini dress.
No.
There are almost no “jet fuel droppings” out there. Dumping jet fuel is ONLY done in case of emergency on a really big plane. You know all those Boeing 737s and Airbus A320-family planes that have taken over the skies? They can’t dump fuel at all. As for coating the OEM wiper blades with silicone…no. It will rub off quickly. You can get silicone-rubber wiper blades as a replacement item, and the blades you buy in auto parts stores will fit on any car. Just get the right length.
One time when I was young the monkeys managed to chew off the nozzle for one of the windscreen wiper jets on the bonnet of the car.
In the venerable old Boeing 727—old and venerable, just like me—we turned on the anti-icing when ice built up on our nuts. Someone would say, “Oh, my nuts are icing up, better turn on the anti-ice.” The nuts that held on the windshield wipers. These days, modern jets have probes that detect ice and turn on a cockpit warning light. It’s just nuts how easy today’s jet pilots have it!
