Perodua tak akan naikkan harga walaupun nilai tukaran Ringgit rendah, sekurang-kurangnya untuk tahun 2022

Perodua sekali lagi menegaskan bahawa mereka tidak akan menaikkan harga kenderaan mereka, sekurang-kurangnya untuk tahun 2022.

Semasa sidang media di majlis penyerahan Perodua Ativa Hibrid, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Perodua Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad sekali lagi mengesahkan bahawa tiada kenaikan harga untuk sepanjang tahun ini walaupun nilai tukaran Ringgit lemah dan kenaikan harga bahan mentah seperti keluli menjadi isu terbesar pengeluar kenderaan ketika ini.

“Untuk tahun ini, kami tidak akan menaikkan harga. Terutama bagi mereka yang menempah kenderaan mereka di bawah skim pengecualian cukai jualan dan perkhidmatan Penjana,” tegasnya.

Hal ini sebahagiannya disebabkan oleh kandungan bahan tempatan yang tinggi pada model Perodua. Selain Perodua Ativa Hibrid, semua kereta Perodua lain mempunyai sehingga 95 peratus kandungan bahan tempatan.

Oleh yang demikian, Perodua tidak terjejas teruk oleh kesan pertukaran mata wang asing yang lemah.

“Disebabkan oleh kerana kandungan bahan tempatan yang tinggi, impak mata wang itu tidak meninggalkan kesan besar kepada keuntungan dan harga jualan kami. Berdasarkan pertukaran mata wang semasa, saya percaya kami masih mampu menguruskan kesannya walaupun Ringgit telah jatuh ke paras terendah berbanding Dolar Amerika.

"Barang-barang import kami hanya menyumbang lima peratus daripada kos tempatan, jadi kesan mata wang itu hanya kurang daripada satu atau dua peratus," sambungnya.

Bagaimanapun, Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin turut menyatakan bahawa keadaan mungkin berubah pada tahun 2023 kelak.

"Kami perlu mengkaji betapa besar kesan kenaikan harga barang dan bagaimana kita akan berkongsi beban dalam keseluruhan ekosistem."
