  • Design- The Aston Martin inspired front grille design might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there is no denying that it adds sophistication to the original Ford Fiesta’s contemporary design. The sedan variant aside, the 5-door hatchback is beautifully proportioned with an athletic and sporty stance.

  1. Design- The exterior design is now more elegant than ever before with a distinct ‘European’ flare. The front fascia carries a hint of the more grown-up Kia Optima GT while the interior feels more premium than the price tag suggests.
  2. Ride and Handling- With increased body rigidity and retuned suspension system, the ride is generally pliant and comfortable. Pre-loaded linear valve technology provides a more linear handling and steering response over road imperfections.
  3. Features- Standard features are pretty generous considering the low entry price. Features like the automatic wipers and headlights, cruise control and blind spot detections systems are usually found only in the more expensive cars in the higher segment.

  • Transmission- The dual-clutch PowerShift 6-speed automatic transmission lacks refinement with noticeable jerks in stop-and-go traffic. Reliability also proves to be an issue for the Thai-made car, prompting Ford to extend its transmission warranty.

  • After Sales Service- Ford do not have the best reputation when it comes to after sales services. With reliability issues plaguing the car, it does not help that the spare parts take a while to arrive in Malaysia and it is often time very costly.  

  • Features- The sixth generation Ford Fiesta is essentially more than 10 years old now and it could really use a major update especially in terms of safety feature.
