BYD is the best-selling battery electric vehicle (BEV) brand in Thailand and is setting up an assembly plant in the Kingdom. According to a Chinese insider, production of the first Thai-assembled (CKD) BYD model could begin this month, pointing to a launch in May. The insider posted a photo on their Weibo that was allegedly taken at the BYD Thailand factory. It showed a BYD Atto 3 with some parts installed. Rever Automotive, the distributor for BYD cars in Thailand, has announced the refreshed 2024 BYD Atto 3. The updated Atto 3 will be available in two variants: the BYD Atto 3 Dynamic and the BYD Atto 3 Premium, priced at an estimated THB 899,900 (around 118k) and THB 949,900 (around RM 125k), respectively. BYD has launched the updated 2024 BYD Atto 3 in Japan, priced at JPY 4.5 million (around RM 143k). Changes include a new exterior colour, minor exterior tweaks, and a larger infotainment display with added features.
