2022 Toyota RAV4 facelift unveiled – Angry-looking Adventure trim arrives in Europe

The 2022 Toyota RAV4 facelift has just been revealed for the European market. The Adventure variant, which has been available in other markets such as the US and Japan, is now available in Europe.

The Adventure trim gives a more rugged styling with the black grille, black surrounds on the front fog lights, silver skid plate, wider wheel arches, and new 19-inch wheels finished in matte grey.

Inside, there’s a dedicated upholstery design for the seats, combining black synthetic leather with quilted back and cushion sections, as well as contrasting orange stitching. Scuff plates are also fitted.

Updates for the 2022 model include new projector-type LED headlights and LED front fog lights, and new 10-spoke alloy wheel design for the exterior. As for the interior, there are new LED interior lighting, power adjustment for the front passenger seat, illuminated window control switches, and USB-C ports.

Powertrain is unchanged, with a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder hybrid petrol engine that makes a total output of 218 PS for the FWD model, and 222 PS for the AWD model. There’s also a plug-in hybrid variant offered in Europe that pushes out a combined output of 306 PS.

Prices have yet to be announced in Europe, though deliveries of the 2022 Toyota RAV4 are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022.
