2020 Toyota GR Yaris teased, Malaysia debut soon?

It appears that Toyota fans in Malaysia can potentially look forward to a new Gazoo Racing (GR) model in the near future, as Toyota Malaysia recently posted a lone photo of the 2020 Toyota GR Yaris on their Facebook page.

As seen on the Facebook post, Toyota Malaysia did not say if the GR Yaris will be introduced here, only saying that “the GR Yaris is a pure performance car and a product of our philosophy, to push the limits of our vehicle beyond boundaries through motorsports, all towards achieving the goal of producing ever better cars, just for you!

This is the third time Toyota Malaysia has posted on their Facebook page regarding the GR Yaris, with the first and second time being back in January. This further cement the notion that UMW Toyota Motor is teasing the arrival of the little hot hatch.

After all, we reported back in April that UMW Toyota Motor has secured about 100 units of the Toyota GR Yaris, though one would need to expect to pay close to Honda Civic Type R price for one.

While the Toyota GR Yaris won’t be cheap, but for the wealthy collector that appreciates a car like this, the asking price is justifiable.

To recap, the Toyota GR Yaris features a 1.6-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out an impressive 272 PS and 370 Nm, mated exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission. Power is deployed to all four wheels via a four-wheel drive system with a pair of Torsen limited-slip differentials, one for each axle.

Toyota's Kinto is getting bored, finds a way to make the AH30 Alphard and Vellfire sliding doors close faster

You know how some cars can be truly fantastic except for one minor detail that you just can’t overlook and it ends up ruining the entire driving experience. It could be a terrible head unit or a bad seating position. Well, some of the engineers at Toyota’s Kinto subscription service thought that could be the abysmally slow speed of the sliding doors on the previous AH30 generation of the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. Either that or they must be getting really bored over there. Or someone has secr
