He does want a deal. He just doesn’t want one at any price. In the overall hierarchy of deals, he is negotiating the purchase of a Ford Fiesta. Nothing wrong with a Ford Fiesta. Very good car. But the problem is, the EU is asking for Rolls Royce money. The price the EU is asking, is control over the UK’s laws and natural resources. That’s not a price it has asked of any other trading partner. It’s not a price the UK is prepared to pay. When evaluating options, you have to be clear about the differences between them. The EU is talking as if Johnson is negotiating EU membership-minus when in fact, he’s negotiating a basic FTA, standard as bog. A free trade agreement of the type that the UK is negotiating is a bit better than WTO terms, but not a huge amount. The main difference is tariffs but even so, average tariffs are low at around 3%. There’s a big difference between the position the UK thinks it’s in, and the position the EU thinks the UK thinks it’s in: The position the UK thinks it’s in: we’re happy to pay for a Ford Fiesta, but only Ford Fiesta money. We don’t need to pay any more because we already have a perfectly workable Toyota Aygo. The position the EU thinks the UK thinks it’s in: You don’t have a car. You are desperate for one. We are the only seller. We can charge you whatever we like. One interesting development today is that according to The Times, ,Britain and EU agree to pursue ‘mini-deals’ if talks fail next week,. That means if the parties can’t agree on everything, they will keep pursuing deals on the things they do agree on. This is actually a huge climbdown by the EU. Frost suggested such an idea early in the talks. The EU rejected it. The strategy was designed to increase the UK’s perception of the cost of not agreeing to the EU’s demands, and therefore, the price the UK would be willing to pay. Overall then, Boris Johnson does want a deal with the EU. It’s just that the price the EU seems to believe the UK is willing to pay for one, is a whole lot higher than the price the UK is actually willing to pay.
Toyota Aygo ,starts from Rs.15,00,000 to Rs.21,00,000 depending on the year model you prefer to buy for yourself. ,Toyota Aqua price ,is definitely ranked among premium side automobiles available in Pakistan, but when you see its aggressive design, efficient fuel economy and enhanced interior features, you certainly will get your single penny worth after buying. Toyota Yaris Toyota Yaris is available in three different engine trims, 1.0L, 1.3L and 1.5L. To all those who think 1.0L is an underpowered machine, they can surely go for 1.3L or 1.5L driving force. The vehicle is available with a standard 4-speed automatic transmission; however, the 1.5L engine comes with a CVT transmission. Toyota Aygo vs Toyota Aqua and Vitz
For the same reason lots of people here in the netherlands drive €50. 000 sedans, suvs, stations, hatchbacks(tough to find at that price) and roadsters. Because they can and because they want to. These people don't need expensive cars. A cheaper car can do most of the things expensive cars can. Want a cheap suv? Dacia duster. Want a cheap hatchback? Toyota aygo. Want a cheap station car? Any vw, skoda or Ford might be good options under €30.000. Same for sedans. They'll get you from a to b. You can buy a used car for 5k and it'll do that just fine. But when you have the money and want something with more options and/or more power you can get something a bit more extravagant. You want a kick ass station? Audi rs6, skoda octsvia rs(still up way under 50k BTW) or a volvo v90 R might be your car. Want an feisty hatchback? Look at a clio cup, fiesta ST 2 or a BMW m3, also below the 50k mark though. Sedans above 50k are absolute beasts of cars with loads of power and extra features. People that buy these expensive cars aren't racing drivers. They probably never take it to the track and since the speed limit is 130km/h at best you have no use for a 250 km/h top speed. You don't need heated seats or automatic hydrolic suspension setups. You don't need Bang & Olfuson surround sound in your car. But some people want it. And when they have the money, they'll buy it.
Where? The country makes a huge difference. In the UK, you really have to consider the price of insurance as the elephant in the room. That could be harder to afford than whatever car you choose! Thus, I’d choose something with low power that’s in a low insurance group, such as the Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108, which are variants of the same car. I have a friend who has a Aygo and it’s really a very nice car. It may not be particularly cool, whatever that means, but it’s practical and really quite a comfortable ride.
What do you think about the fact that a Tesla car weighs 1000 kg more than a car of the same size and performance? What do I think? I think it is an ,incorrect information., A Tesla (Model 3, Y, S or X) weights about 100–200 kg more than a car of the same size (Audi, BMW) and performance (2WD or AWD, similar price/power) and not 1000 kg. For comparison, 1000 kg less than a Tesla Model 3 Long Range would be a Toyota Aygo. While the first one is is an AWD mid-sized sedan, the second is a city car. ,Apples to apples.
This is somewhat irrelevant question. What does “cheap” mean? Lowest purchase price? Leasing cost? Gas consumption? Total cost of ownership over 10 years? Then, “best” in which way? Reliability? Gas mileage? Softest leather? Power and handling? Amount of brushed aluminium and funky LCD dashboard widgets? Best to go camping with? To haul a soccer team? Answer may as well Tesla or Toyota Aygo..
Something small and cheap to insure. Insurance rates for young and inexperienced drivers are insane, sometimes several times the price of the car insured. Thus, I’d suggest something like a Toyota Aygo or its Citroen and Peugeot equivalents. Even if you’re an older new driver or purchasing your first car several years after passing your test, expect insurance rates to be very high; you have to earn no claims discount.
Consider your total budget, including insurance, maintenance and fuel. Then work out what you can afford. Most new and young drivers can only afford very small and low-powered cars because they’re the least expensive to insure. For a driver with no no claims discount, who is young, insurance can easily cost more than the car! By the age of 25, insurance rates are dropping but as you’ve never had a car before, you probably have no NCD. Expect to pay at least £1000 for your first year’s insurance, even on something small like a Toyota Aygo (a good choice in my opinion). If per chance you’ve been driving for several years and have had the use of a company car without incident, a few insurers will grant you NCD on your company car record. I know that Aviva is one that used to do this in the days when they were Norwich Union but I don’t know if they still do. Another tip is that if you can wait until your 25th birthday, insurance prices will drop somewhat, though they’ll still be jaw-droppingly expensive! The best way to work out what insurance will cost is to play around with price comparison sites and look for cars that are “cheap” to insure. Nothing is cheap to insure at your age with no NCD but some cars are considerably less expensive to insure than others.
I’m from the Netherlands, Americans often love to praise my country when they come over and walk on the canals of Amsterdam. Whilst I agree it’s pretty, 1% of the Netherlands lives this way. Just for the Netherlands there are quite a lot of negative parts to the everyday life in my opinion:: -Housing is expensive and social housing tends to have a long waiting list. Often it will be far from the postcard areas of the city and be quite small. Having a free-standing house with your own driveway is a real luxury here, unless you live in the middle of nowhere. Crime is also a lot higher in suburbs. The nice areas of the city are ,very, expensive to live in. You might have nowhere to park and be forced to bicycle or take a crowded bus to get to work. This looks fun and intelligent as a tourist, but for me the few days that I can use my car-sharing car it feels like a real luxury, even though it’s a cheap Citroen C1. -Doing fun things is seriously expensive and as such unless you’re well off, you’ll find all your basic needs covered but little else. Going out for dinner, coffee, to see a movie, visit a museum, travel to another city for a quick holiday it’s all very expensive and people plan it like a real excursion. -Driving is very much taxed both in fuel and purchase price, so often the most you’ll afford on a post-graduation starter salary is a car like a Toyota Aygo and you don’t make nearly as much road trips for fun. You might not even be able to drive it everyday. -The train system is good compared to the US, but it’s also expensive and you’re packed like sardines. -Life is not necessarily convenient, the bicycle is ,not, seen as a fun way to get around by locals, many actually want a car. To go the supermarket or other places, you’ll generally be forced to take the bicycle which means going in the rain.. -Those fancy high speed trains actually are pretty expensive and you don’t just randomly hop on a train to Paris for lunch.. Again it’s a holiday you plan instead of taking a flight somewhere. -There is much more individual freedom of expression in America and people are much more willing to accept you to lead the life you want and you have more ‘flexibility’ with your life path. Don’t like your current city and want a new job?, you just move to a different state and people are quite accepting. You don’t just move around like that in Europe. There is also far more of a dating scene in America with taking casual dates in a big city and meeting different people before even settling down for a relationship, being quite acceptable. In the Netherlands and much of Europe life is more ‘fixed’: You care about the opinion of others, move along with society, rather than do your own thing and you do everything in groups (including dating) and people are more judgemental. -It is less easy to hop jobs, change careers or get a promotion. Many people are stuck making around the same salary for life. -Nature is harder to access in much of Europe and Europeans aren’t nearly as active in nature. Hiking is seen as an activity for seniors. You don’t see many Europeans load up the truck (pick-up) and drive into a national park to go camping. -People are less racist on skin color, but Xenophobia is a big issue. People might even look at you weirdly if you simply changed towns or cities within Europe.
Audi are luxurious and very desirable, Toyotas aren’t. An Audi A1 which may not seem very luxurious in comparison to an A6, in its class it is luxurious, comparing an A1 to a Toyota Aygo for example the Audi will feel a lot more expensive, the Toyota will be riddled with cheap black plastics and a laggy infotainment system, whereas the Audi will be the opposite, which warrants the extra 10k price tag. Another example is the Audi A5 Sportback, it starts at over 42k, yet the Toyota Avalon is 35k, with that the Toyota get loads of equipment as standard, but the A5 doesn’t even get satellite navigation nor a reversing camera, but the 4 rings and the big grille on the A5 permit Audi to charge more because of consumerism, despite the fact the Toyota has much better reliability.
