Why isn’t the Toyota Crown sold in the US?
We actually do have the Toyota Crown (please note there’s a vast distinction between the Crown, Crown Majista, and the famed Toyota Century) - albeit with different styling. The Lexus GS is the previous-generation Toyota Crown, matching it in nearly every metric short of exterior and interior styling. They’re based on the same platform, and drive very similarly to one another. I believe we won’t be seeing the newly-released Toyota Crown in the US of A, though. Unfortunately, the fantastic Lexus GS just doesn’t sell that well here - it never has. Instead, I beleive Lexus intends to replace the current ES AND the GS with their recently-announced 2019 Lexus ES. The new ES will have much better driving dynamics, better efficiency, better build quality, and have the ability to support legitimately sporty models. The Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) allows for all of that, neatly wrapped up in one awesome package. Don’t believe me? Go test drive a new V6 Camry.

Hey Guys! Finally the all new 2021 TOYOTA Crown - An Executive Sedan with amazing redesign is launched! Here's the first look of the car with its interior, new exterior design, features. Toyota has released three special edition versions of the Crown executive sedan in Japan to celebrate the nameplate’s 65th anniversary. They’re called the Crown Limited, Crown Elegance Style II and Crown Sport Style. Based on the RS trim level, the Toyota Crown Limited brings exclusive 18-inch aluminum wheels with black coating and an upholstery combining fabric and synthetic leather. The special edition model also features a blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic auto brake and power front passenger seat. Moving on to the Toyota Crown Elegance Style II, it comes with 18-inch ‘noise reduction’ alloys in a chrome metallic finish, plated door handles, and a choice of three interior colors: black, light grey and golden. The seats combine suede and synthetic leather while the center console is adorned with black wood trim. The same safety and convenience features of the Crown Limited are standard. Previewed last year, the special edition Toyota Crown Sport Style brings black 18-inch ‘noise reduction’ alloys, smoked LED headlights and LED taillights, as well as a dark treatment for the grille, fog lamp rings, and rear license plate garnish. The cabin is all black, offset by red stitching on the seats, dashboard, center console, door panels and floor mats when the optional leather seat package featuring genuine leather is selected. Otherwise, the seats are a combination of fabric and synthetic leather, with the door cards also lined with synthetic leather.
Which is better, Toyota Mark X or Toyota Crown?
I would go with the Mark X, it’s faster, and the Mark X will handle better whereas the Crown is more of a luxury car; so it will boil down to do you want a nice handling car or a nice luxury car? Also the MArk X gets better fuel economy and is a bit less expensive to maintain.
