Honda Japan has announced price revisions for four of its models, the Honda N-Wgn, Honda N-One, Honda Stepwgn, and Honda ZR-V. Prices have been increased by 1.8% to 5.2% depending on the variants and models. According to Honda, the reason behind this latest price increase which will take effect from 4 July 2024 is due to the rising costs of raw materials and logistics. Following last week’s announcement by Subaru to shutdown all local assembly operations in Southeast Asia, Suzuki has now confirmed that it will cease automobile manufacturing in Thailand. This week, Toyota Australia announced that it has dropped all petrol-only variants of its passenger cars as it will only offer hybrid models. It isn’t the end of fossil fuel models however as diesel models including its popular Hilux and GR performance models which are petrol-only will soldier on Down Under.
