The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has launched their MyBayar Saman portal and mobile app, PDRM’s official online system for users to check and settle any summonses issued by PDRM. Early adopters will even get a 50 percent discount on their summonses!
PDRM’s move to go online was driven by the growing trend of online payments. According to Sinar Harian, more users are getting used to settling their summonses online following the Movement Control Order.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador also hopes the online portal and mobile application would benefit the public by reducing queuing time of conventional payment methods. Good news for states still registering high numbers of new Covid-19 cases.
Unlike other portals that allow you to settle your fines, there are no extra charges if you choose to pay your summonses on MyBayar Saman. Abdul Hamid expresses that this would reduce the department’s reliance on third party collecting agents.
To celebrate the launch of the portal, PDRM is also offering all users a 50 percent discount if they register on the portal from now until April 11.
But this early bird discount is only applicable to certain traffic offences, so if you were caught jumping a red light, speeding, or using your mobile when driving, you are required to pay full price.
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
