Bad news for people working in the Subang, Taipan, Sunway, and Bandar Puteri Puchong area, as the Subang Jaya Council (MBSJ) is looking to introduce a two-hour parking limit on-street parking.
The move is to free up parking space for visitors in these areas where looking for street parking is challenging as most are taken up permanently by people who work in the area.
MBSJ estimates that the two-hour parking zone limit will be introduced on 1-June-2022 in USJ 9, USJ 10, SS19, Bandar Puteri Puchong as well as Bandar Sunway.

Subang Jaya mayor Johary Anuar told The Star that the move to improve parking availability in the affected areas has been in the works for quite some time now.
The aim is to make street parking facilities available to visitors to the areas rather than being dominated by those who work there.
The rates for these zones will be RM 0.60 for half an hour or RM 1.20 per hour. After the two-hour limit, private and commercial vehicles must vacate their spot and these motorists will not be allowed to park in the same area.

MBSJ will also introduce a system to monitor vehicles parked in these zones to alert enforcement officers if anyone has been parked for longer than allowed.
As of yet, the council did not mention any solution about parking for those who works in the area.
In other news, MBSJ is also gearing up for its public parking system to transition fully online starting 1-April-2022.
Unused parking coupons could be refunded before 31-March-2022. Details of the process and the location of refunds would be announced soon.
