Video: The inevitable has happened, Bomba vs VIP escort, fireman hit by Alphard

Previously, videos of Toyota Alphards ferrying VIPs forcing ambulances to give way had riled up the internet earning them massive criticism from netizens. It seems the VIPs didn’t learn their lesson as now we have a confrontation between a VIP convoy and Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) personnel.

In the video, a policeman was seen dispersing traffic at a junction to allow what looks like a white Toyota Alphard to go through.

The fireman, who were on motorcycles, were seen coming in another direction and trying to cross the junction. However, the first rider, unfortunately, tried to cross the junction just as the Alphard arrived and the two inevitably collided.

The incident is believed to have happened in Terengganu. It looked like the Bomba personnel wasn’t seriously hurt as he was later seen standing.

Without a doubt, the Bomba should have had priority when it comes to situations like this. However, we can’t discount the fact that perhaps the Alphard chauffeur had not seen the approaching fireman since they were so used to rushing pass traffic.
