Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (Pro-Net), the sole authorized distributor of Smart vehicles in Malaysia, announced today that three more dealers have joined its network.

Naza Automotive Group will operate Smart Petaling Jaya (near Federal Highway), Fook Loi Eurocar for Kota Kinabalu, and Hoi Keen Service for Kuantan.

Pro-Net says the three new outlets will begin operating in Q3 and Q4 this year.

The list of Smart dealers in Malaysia in operation, as of today, are as follows:

• Ipoh: GB Auto
• Balakong: Hap Seng Smart
• Kuala Lumpur city centre: Hap Seng Smart

• Melaka: Sigma Energy EV
• Johor Bahru: Motor Future

Pro-Net currently sells just one model, the Smart #1. A second model, the sloping roofline Smart #3 has been confirmed for Malaysia but the company has yet to divulge details regarding the coupe-SUV’s price or launch timing.

Prices of the Smart #1 are:

• Smart #1 Pro (49 kWh, 272 PS / 343 Nm, rear-wheel drive, 315 km): RM 189,000
• Smart #1 Premium (66 kWh, 272 PS / 343 Nm, rear-wheel drive, 440 km): RM 219,000
• Smart #1 Brabus (66 kWh, 428 PS / 543 Nm, all-wheel drive, 400 km): RM 249,000

All Smart vehicles are imported from China.
