Honda is one of those brands that has a huge fanbase and some of those H brand enthusiasts would count themselves lucky to be working for the company they adore. Bryan Hourt is one of those Honda fans and as the Chief Engineer and Product Strategy at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, he is living his dream.

Growing up, Bryan has been in love with cars and his father also owned a body shop in his home state of Nebraska which helped fuelled his ambition to work around vehicles. Eventually, he landed a job at Honda’s American plant in Ohio and when he was sent over to Japan, Bryan found his true automotive love.

He first laid eyes on the Honda NSX when the sports car was about to undergo a crash test. Though that NSX’s fate would end up in the barriers for the sake of safety, Bryan fell in love with the sports car and would eventually bought one when he went back to the States.

He would later sell his first NSX but that was not the end as he later revealed in Honda’s latest video that he currently owns 2 NSXs in his garage. Besides the couple of NSXs, he also owns four pristine, low-mileage DC2 Integra Type Rs, an S2000 Club Racer, and a Honda Cub bike.

Bryan bought the Cub bike sight unseen from online auction website, Bring a Trailer. He was inspired by Honda founder Soichiro Honda both as a fan and an engineer. The Cub bike was essentially a motorized bicycle kit with the engine and the petrol tank all made from army surplus parts following the end of World War II.

You can check out more on Bryan’s story of becoming a Honda fan and working for the company in the video below.
