hyundai eco mode Q&A Review

What pros and cons does your car have?

I own a Tata Tiago XZ Petrol , 2016 model . I purchased it for 5.30 Lakhs INR on road (7500$) Pros : Interiors ,: The plastic used inside is of sturdy quality with many tones. Interiors can be compared to Baleno which is 2 segments up from this car. Safety ,: 2 Airbags +ABS + EBD . This car is approx 1000 Kg that means more stability on high speeds and above mentioned features make it more safe than its competitors. Harman Kardon Music System, : It has got 4 speakers+4 tweeters that means surround sound . Many of my friends have complimented my car music system . Full volume can truly rock the car. Fuel Economy, : It has got two modes (Eco and City) . While cruising on highway on Eco mode, I have got upto 28 KMPL on Petrol. (See image below) 5. Space ,: I am 6′2″ and can drive comfortably , thanks to Height adjustment driver seat + Steering wheel can also be adjusted Up and down. 6. Little other things, : Hanger near co driver legs to hang small bags or grocery items . Boot lamp Rear wiper and defogger. Cons Less Authorized service station, : As compared to competitors, TATA has got less service stations. It also means the existing one creates a monopoly. Vibrations ,: Either due to 3 cylinder engine or what I face issue of vibrations on lower gears. Re-sale value, : Also less than maruti and hyundai but I dont think I will ever sell my car. Popup door lock, : These used to come in cars 10 years back and I have no idea why TATA haven't updated them. Overall , I think i love my car and it’s a value for money. 27,000 KMs and counting … Edit 1: Just to show you guys it’s build value . 3 months back I was driving in a narrow lane and got side hit by bikers at 60 KMPH . The impact got me this but thanks to the build quality of tata , these rivets got placed back there were no dents on car.

What are the negative points of a Hyundai Creta?

The Hyundai creta, one of the bestsellers of Hyundai in India has some positives as well as negatives. Let's list down the negatives here: It doesn't have 4X4, which restricts the car's use to only the urban tarmac or cemented roads. Considering the looks and the size of the creta it would be great if it had 4X4. Secondly, the creta doesn't have cruise control,a feature which the competitors like the ecosport and the maruti s cross too have it. The third thing is that the creta does not get glove box cooling even in it's top variant. The Hyundai creta does not get driving modes like eco mode, sport mode and the city mode. Well, these are the things which I wish were present in the creta. My views may differ from others and are completely based on my opinion about the car. Thank you! Ani.B

What real world mpg can you get from a 2011 or 2012 Hyundai Elantra?

I bought a 2012 Elantra in december and they are great cars but I only average 240 to 250 miles per tank...or 27mpg. Even when I use eco-mode and I drive normal, I cant seem to get to 30mpg. At least this car is 10x better than my 04 civic.

Is the Hyundai Elantra a good car to buy?

Yes i have it and now it has been 2.4 years and i can tell it is the best car in this range Advantages are-: 1.It look are unique and has an awesome design exterior as well as interior 9\10 2. It is very spacious and very comfortable with leather seats (comfort and leg room )9\10 3.Features are good like Eco-mode which saves ur car fuel and stabalises the car environment . Features 9\10 4. It is very fuel efficient car good for long journey as well as city 5.i love the torque and the brakes of this car. Altogether i never regretted buying this car still its performance is as good as new . I m sure u too will like this car.

Is TATA Tiago worth buying?

Two words for the majestic TATA Tiago, ,IT’S FANTASTIC,! I have been owning TATA Tiago for more than a yeae now and I am confident enough to give it a “Thumbs Up”., ,The car was brought in May 2019 and it has run superbly since last 12 months. My Car till Now: Model, - TATA Tiago Petrol - XZ+ - Cherry Red Colour Brought in ,- May 2019 Kilometers Driven, - 10000+ KM Average, - 14–16 KMPL in City & 20–22 KMPL on Highway Parts Changed, - Nothing Service done ,- 2 FIRST LET ME TELL YOU WHY I CHOSE TATA TIAGO (You can SKIP THIS SECTION & scroll below to know “WHY TIAGO” :P) Like everyone, I too spent months researching and reading about various cars, their specs, reviews etc. Trust me, when I started my research TATA cars were out of my equation. I honestly had no clue about TATA’s recent resurgence in the car segment. My picks were Ford Figo or Hyundai Grand i10. I definitely didn’t want to buy a Maruti car because of safety issues. The Ford Figo is excellent without a doubt and Hyundai cars have been known for their smooth riding experience. Let me tell you guys, saving some bucks for a Maruti car while keeping in line your safety is never a wise choice. I was slowly inclining towards Ford Figo as my final choice and that is when I consulted a friend who owns a Figo Diesel. His reviews about his car was very good but he suggested me some downsides of Ford’s petrol cars. He instead pushed me towards Tiago. I was like, what’s this car? Then after listening to my friend and getting to see my favourite football star (Messi) advertising for it, I was really amazed. Within just 1 month of researching and analysis, I decided to go for Tiago and brought a ,Cherry Red Coloured TATA Tiago XZ+ Version (Petrol Car),. Please note, the XZ+ Version is a bit costly when compared to the other high model XZ. I chose XZ+ inspite of the cost because I loved the Harman Audio Interiors and the improved Tyre sizes, which was key to me for off-roading. MY EXPERIENCE OF DRIVING TATA TIAGO I will mention few kick ass things about TATA Tiago: First and foremost - The ,delivery experience, at TATA Showroom. The delivery process was seamless and they gave me my car just like a gift. They did an unveiling ceremony, cake cutting and all those glittering stuffs. It made me really happy! :) Super Light Steering, with Awesome Feedback - It feels so light to drive this machine. The steering feedback is awesome. Powerful ,City Mode, which helps you drive with ease Very ,spacious, both in front and back 8 speakers, with Harman Audio Technology that enables a wow audio experience Eco mode for long drives to give you that ,extra mileage Inbuilt ,parking sensors, to help park efficiently The ,shockers are insane,. Driving on Indian roads, I hardly feel the bumps. The shockers absorb almost every effect of bad roads and the people sitting will hardly feel anything. Drive Experience I love to drive this car. It has a peppy engine which does what you want. You want to twist and turn fast to overtake others? You will do it with ease. The steering feedback is fabulous. I have seen many people complaining about the pick up in 2nd and 3rd gear. I agree to an extent but it depends on how you drive. If you drive in city mode and accelerate well in your first and second gears, the response from 3rd gear onwards is excellent. There is one more thing that I like about Tiago when compared to Swift, Baleno, Grandi10 etc. It is the vibration when you are above 100 KMPH. The car runs like a horse while your speed is about 100–120 KMPH and there are no vibrations whatsoever. I have driven Swift, Baleno and even Grand i10, their response at these speeds are pretty awful. I have also taken this car for some off-roading experience in Shivpuri (Rishikesh), Dam Dama Lake (Gurgaon), Terrain roads of Almora and many others. This machine is a beast of a hatchback! Remember: ,Drive in city mode to experience the real TATA Tiago. Mileage On highways, by driving in Eco Mode, I easily get about 20–22 KMPL. In city roads, the car gives about 14–16 KMPL. Although in super high traffic places like Gurgaon, my mileage drops to about 13–14 KMPL. This is a case only if you drive in super high traffic routes. Mileage without AC: In city, if you drive without AC, then your mileage just slightly increases by 1–3 KMPL. But since I live in Gurgaon (which is hot to the core), I dare not do that. If you have had driven your car without AC and tested mileage, do leave your experience in the comments. However on Highways, I would advice not to drive with windows open because of wind blast issue. The mileage and the drive experience will get affected. But still, I tried once and got 24 KMPL mileage without AC. Build Quality Man oh Man.. This car is a Hulk Hogan. There are few instances where I accidentally bumped the car on corner stones and parking walls. I was expecting a heart breaking dent but the dents were almost negligible. One day due to heavy traffic, my fender hit the corner of a tractor and I was freaked. I thought the car would have been crushed from the side because it hit a damn tractor. But see the result below: The damage was way below the expected level. This shows how strong the resistance capacity of the car is. Powerful AC The AC in this car is quite impressive. There is no rear AC like a Grand i10 but the ACs are powerful enough to cool the entire cabin, within minutes. I am sure those who have been in a Tiago would accept this. Interiors Personally, I love the interiors. It’s kind of new age design to me. Steering has a lot of control options which makes it look cool. Chrome finish on AC vents and a glossy infotainment system makes the entire interior look sexy. Have a look yourselves: Last but not the least, Incredible Audio from Harman Saved this for last. The most amazing thing about Tiago is the Audio system from Harman. The ConnectNext Infotainment system is one hell of a thing. There are 8 speakers, I repeat 8 Speakers, which gives a fabulous sound experience. You can adjust Bass, Treble etc. and tune up the sound. Even the outsiders will experience the boss type music! If you are a person looking to buy a hatchback but don’t have any particular in mind, Just take a test drive of TATA Tiago and you will enjoy it wholly. PS - I am no marketer or anyone writing behalf of a car trading company. I just love my Tiago and wanted to spread the word about this magnificent machine. #ITSFANTASTICO Edit 2: HOW TO OPTIMIZE ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND SOLVE VIBRATING ENGINE NOISE? I have been noticing a number of people talking about loud noise while you start the vehicle and also about performance. Let me give you an important tip to solve these. Here you go: Once you start the car for the first time (in a day), there is no doubt you will hear some vibrating noise. I was also worried about this and consulted a well known mechanic (who is a friend of mine). He said that this has been an ,case, with lot of TATA cars. Once again I repeat, it’s a CASE, not an issue. He also mentioned that Revotorq or Revotron engines will generate these noise initially. He told that it is because of High RPM level of the car once you start. You may have noticed in your Tiago that the RPM level almost touches 2 once you start. You need to wait for a couple of minutes until it drops down below 1. During this process, the engine gets ready for its actual performance and then you will not hear the noise for the entire day. By doing this, not only do you s,olve the noise problem, but also ,optimize your engine for best performance, and long life. I have been doing this since the day I got to know. Why don’t you guys try and let me know the change in the comments below? If any of you have already tried this and experienced what I said, I would be happy to hear from you too. Thanks Note: My first Quora Answer with 100+ Upvotes. Glad that people liked this answer.
