renault clio uber Q&A Review

When traveling in Spain, is it better to take an Uber, a taxi, or get a rental car?

Unless you plan to stay in a single city to know it in profundity or just one coast village for its beach, no doubt a rental car will be more convenient. There are utilitarian models cheap to rent and easy to park everywhere because they are short as opposite to typical American cars: Renault Clio, Opel Corsa, Ford Fiesta, Seat Ibiza... If you are very ecological sensitive I don’t recommend you an electric model because you will struggle to find a place where to charge it, even using a phone app. Choose instead a bifuel car which can use also propane or butane emiting almost zero emissions and everywhere you will find gasoline in a hurry. Finally, in “big” cities they are stressed but don’t be afraid by how Spaniards drive, in general very repectful to norms.

Why are French car brands so unpopular and badly-regarded?

Here in Brazil there are quite a lot reasons: renault sold cars in the country from the 50’s to the 60’s, and they were famous for disassemble parts while you’re driving. With such bad reputation, they left the country, selling their factory and projects to Ford. When the Ford Corcel came out in 1968 (the project based on the Renault 12), it didn’t disassembled, and it was a very successful vehicle sold until 1992 as a sedan and 1996 as a compact pickup truck (the Ford pampa). So basically Ford fixed it. renault came back in the 90s, along with Peugeot and Citroen. They started selling well, but soon the suspension problems started. by the end of the 90s, they started a new generation of cars here (Clio II, 206) and theirs weak suspensions got company, specially with the Peugeots: electrical problems. then, Renault did quite a good job until the mid 2000s fixing the Clio, but the 206 and its sibling Citroen c3 kept their issues. when the Clio started being a reliable product (but with expensive parts and insurance), Renault released their Dacias here (sandero and Logan) badged as Renault , and although they were reliable, their interior were really really (really!) cheap compared to their competitors. They were really fleet cars because nobody really liked them. by the end of the 2000’s, French brands started offering automatic transmission and boy, they suck. They were 4 speed only, sluggish , and wouldn’t last for more than 25.000km (15000 miles) without a serious issue. These cars nowadays are sold for 30% less than their manual siblings in the used market, and it takes months until you find someone crazy enough to exchange money for that car. by 2015, they had a whole new generation of products. They were a lot better, have a lot less electrical issues, they now have the okay AISIN 6 speed automatic transmission (Peugeot and Citroen), or the also just okay CVT transmission (Renault) but guess what? All the competitors evolved, so they’re not really the first option to come to mind. They did enough to survive, not to conquer new consumers. We are in 2020. Renault is still selling the 2004 Logan/sandero with new headlights and tail lights, and still only serve as fleet cars, or Uber. They have some serious work around, such as the high suspensions to fit the new cvt transmission. Nobody really buy them for personal use because their interior are so cheap, and their projects are so outdated. Peugeots and Citroens still have weak suspensions for Brazilian low quality roads, and still carry some electrical problems here and there. along with the above and for all mentioned periods, French cars have very expensive parts, when you’re lucky enough to find all you need. So there you go, some reasons why Brazilians don’t buy French cars very much. I believe Some of it can be applied all over the world. Logan and it’s workaround to fit the cvt transmission. Look how high the suspensions are! As you imagine, its handling is very bad.

What are some good tips and tricks to travel cheap?

Sure there are ways to travel on the cheap. I just came back from Europe (to Miami), where I spent two weeks in Portugal with my lady friend and my relatives, who joined me in Lisbon. The whole things came to $1,600, including stay, meal and travel (rented a car). It is close to 50% what I’d pay for an “organized tour” to a travel agency. Here’s how it worked: You start planning and booking at least 3 month in advance. You spend considerate time doing that (I spent 2 weeks). You find the best air fare - I can recommend up and coming Portugal Air (TAP), which gave me $480 round trip fare from NY (EWR) and Ryan Air for my friend to fly from Malaga, Spain for $50. For flights inside Europe I find Ryan Air and Easy Jet lowcosters to be the best choices. We were using public transportation whenever it was available, and it is very cheap (by Americana standards) in Europe. Trams, buses, trains - all very reasonably priced. To get from Lisbon to Porto (and make a few tourist detours in between) we rented a car, 6 days came to $180. The train is cheaper, but you need a car if you want to discover places outside the suburbia. The gas for the mid-sized car (Renault Clio 5-door) was $55 for 600 km of travel. Don’t buy rental agency insurance policy, just make sure your credit card has good coverage and bring your policy documents to the front desk (they might ask for it). It will save you $25 a day! (on unrelated note, learn your driving directions very thoroughly, as Google map is virtually useless in the mountainous terrain of Iberia - in our case, it gave us crazy directions more than once, like “turn right” from the road on the summit to the road 300 yards below…it looks like Google Map has 2-directional logic, ignoring the heights! Also, it can give you the direction to a steep up- or down- hill, which you can’t possibly make you your small European car…scary!) The stay came for $1,100 for two one-week AirBnB contracts (my portion was $550). The rest was spend for museums, boat rides, a few Uber rides (cheap in Europe), train rides, metro, tram and buses, and, of course, meals. Once you settle in your place, walk around the neighborhood and check up the local eateries. We found fantastic restaurants and pizzerias and patronized them exclusively - it saves you tons comparing to the tourist traps in the city. The dinner for four in Portugal goes from $30 to $80, depending on your choice, but two large pizzas (works and all) with beer ($0.70 a glass from the tap) and vine comes under $30, seafood comes twice that much, it’s your choice. For $2.0 you can have coffee and sandwich, or pastry for breakfast. We shopped at the local grocery store with the locals for bread (fantastic!), cold cuts and cheese. Also, fruits and vine are cheap and excellent quality and freshness. Similar expenses I encounter in my travels to Spain and Italy. You can save more, if you stay at the hostels, some of them are descent (in Lisbon, there’s one right in the RR station, looked very nice and tidy.) One more advice - if you take walking tours in the cities ($10–$15), make sure you have a place to stow your luggage, not a simple task in unfamiliar city, especially if you’re coming fresh from the airport. There are some storage cages in RR stations, but they require the presence of the train tickets! I just asked to keep my bag in the hostel locker, cost me $5. The key to stay in the budget is to create your own group. We for example, had a group of four (two couples), which allows you to save up to 50% on stay and a car! Good luck!

What insurance should I get to drive for Uber?

Try this site where you can compare quotes: //INSURANCECOMPAREQUOTES.US/index.html?src=compare// RELATED How much is short term car insurance for under 21’s (approx price)? I want insurance on a vehicle for no more than 1/2 weeks. I’ve been on some websites, but lots don’t offer under 21 insurance and others require registration and form filling, which I don’t want to do until nearer the actual time. Has anyone on here had experience with insuring a car, short term, at a young age?” What is the actual meaning of Insurance? A explaination of Insurance? Do various driving school programs give different types of certificates that affect your insurance? I am a 20 year old female first time driver living in Colorado, and I’m debating what program to go with for driving school. The completely online one, the half online half classroom, or the full classroom. I want to take which ever one will give me the best insurance rate.” “Cheap Insurance, For a 19 year old?” hi im a typical 19 year old, been driving for 1 year this month. Does anyone know of any Cheap Insurance places, Everything is so expensive! i dont want to be paying more than 50.00 a month! Please help” Legal question about car insurance? I bought a car off of my coworker a few months back, and everything is in my name. I had paid for insurance but I was going through a rough patch and it lapsed. My mother, whom is living with me, decided to be nice and pay for a month of insurance, through a new company. This is a new policy, as my old one had lapsed. Recently though, my mother and myself have had a falling out. She’s holding my car over my head. She says since she paid for a month of insurance she has free reign over using my car. The car is in my name, and as far as I’m aware based on documents the insurance is as well. The only difference is she paid for that one month of insurance for me. And that month she paid for is still active. So like I said, she is holding the car over my head. I left my house the other night with my car key so she couldn’t use it - This is after everyone I asked that I knew told me to take the keys. She is also living with me, I am renting the home. She is making threats through text messages saying that if I don’t return the car key she will cancel my policy. Is that possible for her to do? She just paid for a month of insurance, and I believe I’m completely in control of my policy. I don’t believe it can be cancelled through her calling. Is that possible? Anyone know? So not only do I own the car, I also rent the house. Legally I don’t believe she can hold my own car over my head. Also, to add… After taking my keys, I left my home and went to a my girlfriends to get away for a while. Since I have taken my car keys, she has taken and hid my car battery to insure that I am unable to remove my car from my property. She refuses to give it back because she paid for my one month of insurance to start my policy again… So my questions… 1. Is it possible for her to cancel my insurance is the car is in my name, and if the policy, I believe, is also in my name? 2. Legally, can I call the local police department and have her surrender both my car, as well as it’s car battery to me? I don’t have my registration information on me, she removed that from the car as well. But a quick look up on my license, as well as my car insurance card that I have should be enough to validate it is indeed my car, correct?” Car insurance for a 17 year old male? Hi guys just want a little bit of help or some advice from people who have been in my situation. I have currently just passed my driving test on the 04/01/2013 and I am now looking to get insured. I understand that insurance is unbelievably high. I am 18 in February 3rd and the the car I have is a 2009 Renault Twingo freeway 1.2, this car is not very fast and roughly around 3000. I have been quoted 2000 at the moment which I understand is okay but any tips, tricks or good insurance please help! also to add I dont mind being insured with a blackbox or whatever their called but may drive past 11pm on the odd day out of the week. Thank you” Low income health insurance? One of my friends recently came to US from a different country. She sold whatever she had and came to US with 25000$. Recently since she was sick she had to go to emergency room for three days. The problem is she did not have any kind of health insurance. Somebody in the hospital told her that she might be eligible for special kind of low income insurance. Her salary is 900$ per month and she get some help from her brother to be able to pay for rent and living costs. Here is my question: does having 25000$ in the bank account disqualify her for this low income insurance? Do they expect that she pay nearly all these 25000$ for the cost of her visit to emergency room? She was asked to provide all the documents regarding her bank accounts, rent she pays and documents showing her income. She is living in Bay area.” Question about Auto insurance? I got mylicence recently but got no insurance. Can I drive someone else’s car if I do not live with them, nd they have it insured, and their insurance will cover a wreck if I have one?” Young drivers car insurance uk? I’m having a lot of trouble with find insurance. I really need help , or advice , what am i doing wrong .. everyone around me is getting deals of around 1.200–1.800 pounds.. I’ve chosen a Clio which is one of the cheapest insurance cars , I also tried , adding different drivers or companies , black boxes etc -.- and the cheapest quote i got was 6.500.. which is like triple the price of the car . Anyone any ideas ? Help.” How long does it take to recieve a settlement from an insurance company? my husband was in a car accident jan of 07 he hurt is back and hasnt been able to work as much as he used to. we filed a suit against the other drivers insurance company and we just now in sept of 08 got a settlement offer of 7,000! not to sound greedy but that seems like it’s just enough to pay his medical costs?! it’s been a long time i no that the insurance company wants us to settle for the least amount possible, but i feel like if we don’t settle for this amoung were going to be waiting another two years! i’d like to hear from anyone who knows anything about this any advice on what we should do settle or wait? and if we do settle how long before we get a check? thank you..”
