isuzu journey bus Q&A Review

What is the difference between booking a bus through Redbus and a direct operator?

I had paid a total of 6800 for four tickets for the Delhi-Manali route and the bus mentioned was Isuzu semi sleeper Ac bus . This is the most expensive ticket mentioned on the Redbus website and I had made the booking on this bus expecting the best ride . I reached the place at the mentioned time of 8:45 having made calls to the mentioned number 9818976670 and asking them ‘ I have a Booking with You and when will my bus arrive . The Isuzu one ‘ to which I had been told 10 more minutes . The bus finally arrived an hour after the mentioned time of 8:45 , i.e. 9:45 . The bus which arrived was not Isuzu . It was a normal bus by the same Travel Company City heart travels and the fare for this bus must be around 700-800 . When I spoke to the concerned conductor in the bus . Mr Vijay Amritraj regarding how come the bus has changed he ordered me ‘ To either sit in the bus or speak to Redbus as he could not do anything . And that there was a breakdown so both the Mercedes and the Isuzu bus have been stopped . When I requested him to make a refund to which also he spoke in a bullish manner that ‘ u have paid to Redbus so please call them .’ There were some other passengers who had booked in a Mercedes bus but they were also feeling so helpless as they had paid for a Mercedes 1200 and had to compromise with such a cheap bus . The customer Care number provided by u could not be connected but somehow I spoke to the customer Care number through ,http://justdial.com, and complained regarding the same to which I was requested by the customer Care person to sit in the bus and that the matter would be taken care of within 24 hours . A week more into this matter and now they are justifying by saying that ‘ The bus given to u was equally good so u should have sat on that bus . If the bus was equally good why had I been not informed prior ?? I made my own arrangements at night nD travelled to manali as not travelling was out of question A lot of questions have arised based on this incident . 1-Is it safe to book through redbusdotcom or should we book directly with the bus company ? 2- in the end if they (red bus and the crooks ) are going to decide which bus to hop on then why not a common fare for the journey ? Why the different rates ? Return Journey from Manali to Delhi- Had booked tickets directly through SWAGATAM Holidays … was given the bus number prior to the journey and had a hassle free trip
