At this point, you’ve probably heard or read about the BYD Atto 3 EV that’s about to be launched soon. It uses the company’s proprietary Blade battery, so what is it and what's the difference from others? First up, let’s talk briefly about its chemistry. The BYD Dolphin electric (EV) hatchback has been spotted in Malaysia, as seen in this social media posting by Shariman. Being spotted at the port means it's highly likely fully-imported (CBU China), just like the droves of the BYD Atto 3 its seen amongst. It was previewed here at the launch of the Atto 3 back in December 2022, so it's only a matter of time before it makes its official entry. As far as electric vehicles (EVs) in Malaysia go, the BYD Atto 3 sticks out like a sore thumb – and not for bad reasons. It’s no secret that BYD has big plans for electric vehicles (EVs) in this region. The BYD Atto 3 is off to a very strong start, outselling rivals like the Ora Good Cat in countries like Thailand. On the topic of Thailand, it looks like BYD’s next model launch in the Kingdom could be the BYD Seal, as evident from these spyshots. Two separate social media pages shared images of the BYD Seal somewhere in Thailand. Look closely and it appears that the Seal could be right-hand drive (RHD) units, as s

We've already written the full review of the BYD Atto 3. Spoiler alert: we like it. But we'll admit most of our tests were centred in the city, which we reckon will be the most common use case for one of these.
