![Budget 2023: Gov allocates RM 50.2 billion for construction of MRT 3 01]()
RM 50.2 billion has been allocated to the construction of the MRT 3 project. Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz confirms that Phase 1 of the project is expected to be completed in 2028 while Phase 2 will be completed in 2030.
The MRT 3 project is the governmentâs commitment to complete the rail transportation loop in Kuala Lumpur. The track will span 50.8 km. The finance ministry expects the projected spending in 2023 to start at RM 3.3 billion.
