Since its introduction in April 2020, Hyundai has sold more than 100,000 units of the all-new Hyundai Elantra. It is sold as the Hyundai Avante in South Korea.

Cumulative sales of the Hyundai Elantra stand at 111,634 units. Quite an impressive feat, considering that the figure is for the South Korean market alone.

With more than 77,000 units sold in 2020 alone, it is the second best-selling sedan and third best-selling passenger car in the country, following the Hyundai Grandeur and Kia Carnival.

Out of which, Hyundai said that they sold 6,230 units of the hybrid model, which accounts for 5.6-percent of the Elantra’s overall sales.

Closer to home, the all-new Hyundai Elantra was launched in Malaysia in late-2020, powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine (123 PS, 154 Nm) mated to Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).

Two variants are offered in Malaysia, with prices starting at RM 139,888 for the Hyundai Elantra Executive variant, while the Premium variant is priced at RM 158,888.

Both variants are imported (CBU) from Korea.
