Carsome and Grab make it easier for Grab drive partners to own their rides

Imagine all the power couples you know; Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Najib and Rosmah… you get the point.

Well, in terms of businesses, this match made in monetary heaven would all of them to shame… except maybe that last couple. Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform; Carsome, has tied up with Southeast Asia’s leading superapp Grab, to launch a campaign aimed at making it easier for Grab driver-partners to own their rental cars.

Creatively dubbed the “Own Your Ride” campaign, it’ll seek to benefit over 100,000 Grab driver-partners and delivery-partners nationwide.

The gist of the campaign will see Grab driver-partners and delivery-partners enjoy purchase discounts of up to RM 600, trade-in discounts of RM 1,000 and 1-year after-sales service when purchasing Carsome Certified cars.

“We are very excited to join hands with Grab in providing access to Grab driver-partners who are looking for new ways to buy or sell a car. Our Carsome Promise offers them convenience and quality assurance, be it for owning their first car or when upgrading their cars,” explained Carsome Co-founder and Group CEO Eric Cheng.

Part of the campaign includes an additional 1-year aftersales service on top of the Carsome Promise package. Each aftersales service includes the Leichtlauf Performance, 10W40 lubricant (4L), OEM oil filter and a 15-point check including air filter check, cleaning and labor charges.

As for the Carsome Promise, it comprises a 175-point inspection that every vehicles must pass. Each purchase comes with a 1-year warranty, 5-day money-back guarantee and a fixed price with no hidden fees.

Grab driver-partners can access the campaign via the Grab’s Driver Reward Program - GrabBenefits - within the driver app. From there, all they have to do is save the offer, browse for cars on www.carsome.my, test drive their car of choice and present the voucher code to Carsome Consultants when making payment to redeem the discount.
