Starting with the electric propulsion unit, the Cooper SE is powered by a single electric motor on the front axle that delivers 184 PS and 270 Nm.
This gives the Cooper SE stout acceleration, despatching the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 7.3 seconds, onto a top speed of 150 km/h. Numbers that are comparable to the internal-combustion Cooper S variant, but without trips to the pump.
To that end, supplying energy to the powertrain is a unique 12-module ‘T-shaped’ battery that offers a maximum usable capacity of 28.9 kWh. Fully charged, the Cooper SE has a maximum driving range of 232 km (WLTP rating), which ensures you have more that enough range for all your mobility needs.
In the inside, the classical MINI dashboard layout is given an ultra-modern touch courtesy of a redesigned three spoke steering wheel with integrated buttons and redesigned AC vents, not forgetting too, the central MINI Navigation 8.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Given its compact battery housed under the floor, there is no loss of seating comfort and passenger room within the Cooper SE, which will happily transport four passengers, and zip around town. Elsewhere, the Cooper SE also offers a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and a Qi wireless charger as standard.

On the safety font, the Cooper SE gets six-airbags Driving Assistant which includes forward collision warning, AEB, lane departure warning and Parking Assistant as standard.
Following an update earlier this year, the Cooper SE now also receives a panoramic sunroof, heated seats, as well as the new Nanuq White colour.
