GWM Malaysia has taken a significant step in expanding its presence in East Malaysia with the inauguration of its first 4S (sales, service, maintenance, and spare parts) center in the region, situated in the heart of Kuching, Sarawak.

The outlet is operated by GWM Malaysia’s dealer partner YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd, located at Jalan Mendu,

Cui Anqi, Managing Director of GWM Malaysia said, "I extend my heartfelt thanks to YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd and all the VIPs for gracing us with their presence and witnessing this pivotal moment for GWM in East Malaysia. The Kuching showroom will serve as a crucial link between Great Wall Motor and Kuching, Sarawak, extending our reach to more consumers in East Malaysia, providing a wider range of product choices, and ensuring superior service."

Regarding the company’s future plans for Malaysia, Cui said, "Our channel network is steadily expanding from West Malaysia to East Malaysia, with each product launch carefully considered in response to market demand. This year in October, we solidified the cooperation plan for the CKD local assembly with EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB). Next year, our product lineup will undergo accelerated expansion, introducing a succession of competitive models to meet the evolving needs of our Malaysian customers."

Currently, GWM Malaysia only sells the Ora Good Cat (from RM 140,500). The Chinese marque plans to launch the GWM Cannon pick-up and a Proton X70-rivalling Haval H6 in 2024.
