JPJ and Puspakom to allow walk-in for fully-vaccinated individuals starting 6-September-2021

Starting from 6-September-2021, fully-vaccinated individuals will be allowed to head to the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Puspakom counters without an appointment.

Other than that, the Ministry of Transport also announced that all service counters will be allowed to operate at 100 percent capacity.

The decision was made so it is easier for road users to renew their driving licenses and vehicle road tax before the end of the year.

Other than being fully-vaccinated (this includes completing the 14-day inoculation period), individuals wishing to head to JPJ counters must also have a Low-Risk status on their MySejahtera apps. This is to ensure the safety of other visitors as well as the staff on duty.

From 6-September-2021, JPJ will cease the online appointment system. The system was previously set up during the Movement Control Order (MCO) to limit the number of visitors last year.

However, the public is still encouraged to use existing online services available like JPJ’s mySikap system, PosMalaysia Berhad, MyEG, or Puspakom for transactions. This is to reduce crowds at JPJ branches as the country continues the Covid-19 battle.
