Lingxi is lit, yo: Dongfeng-Honda JV launches new sub-brand with EVs aimed for the young, first model on sale in 2024

The world's largest electric vehicle (EV) market welcomes a new player in the form of Lingxi, a brand formed by the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture, reveals cnevpost.com.
Along with the announcement, the newly-minted carmaker also unveiled the Lingxi L concept sedan that's slated for production and sales in 2024. Lingxi will be aimed at younger customers, and as such the company said that the model is developed by a 'young R&D team', and 'designed specifically for young people.'
Lingxi models will sit on a new all-electric platform, and will be seperate from Honda's own e:NS range. Powertrain nor pricing details haven't been announced at point of publication.
The company also said that Dongfeng Honda will have more than 50% of their domestic line-up being electrified vehicles by 2025, with more than 10 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) to be launched by 2030.
Honda's current EV range in China is the e:NS1 and e:NP1 – essentially electric HR-Vs – made by Dongfeng-Honda and GAC-Honda respectively.
