Metal scaffolding used in the Damansara-Shah Alam Highway (DASH) construction collapsed onto the Sungai Buloh-Kota Damansara stretch of the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE). Two foreign workers were injured in the process.
The incident was reported at around 7 pm on Saturday (19-June). The 2 workers were believed to be on duty underneath the 12-metre-tall construction site when the scaffoldings came tumbling down.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis told Sinar Harian that a team from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Department rushed to the site. But as no one else was hurt, the team was able to wrap up their operations by 7.30 pm.
Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings (Prolintas), the developer of DASH, confirmed the incident. They also added that the 2 workers suffered light injuries and have been brought to the Sungai Buloh hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, the incident did not involve any other highway users or other members of the public as it occurred in an enclosed construction area.
An emergency response team from DASH has already been deployed to the scene to remove the fallen scaffolding and direct traffic when needed.
At the moment Prolintas has ordered a stop-work directive on the construction. The developer and the main contractor of the project are currently carrying out investigations to find out the cause of the incident.
