Exclusive distributor of Ferrari vehicles in Indonesia, PT Eurokars Prima Utama has opened the doors to its first-ever Ferrari Classiche facility, the manufacturer's authority for the certification, restoration and maintenance of classic Ferraris.
Ferrari Classiche in Indonesia is one of just over 50 such facilities worldwide, which allows classic Ferrari owners to access the same expertise and support as they would in Maranello.
Nini Chiandra, General Manager of PT Eurokars Prima Utama said, "Every Ferrari ever made is truly unique. Through this exhibition, we introduce the special Ferrari Classiche Certification program.
"We ensure that the vintage Ferraris owned by our customers are in optimal and original condition, just as they were when they left the production line," added Nini.
Unlike other classic or restoration services, to qualify for Ferrari Classiche, a car first has to be certified by the workshop to be true to its Maranello-based roots.
The certification process for classic cars involves meeting several requirements set by Ferrari. The authenticity and originality of each spare part used are crucial aspects of the certification process.
The Certificate of Authenticity is for all Ferrari road cars over 20 years old as well as Ferrari F1, Sportscars and Sport-Prototypes, with no restrictions on the age of the car.
In conjunction with the launch organised an exhibition of classic Ferraris featuring the Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina and Dino 308 GT4. The Ferrari 308 Vetroresina crucially utilizes fibreglass for the body, except for the engine cover, which is made of aluminium.
Closer to home, Ferrari S.p.A recently finalised transfer of distributorship from Naza Italia to Ital Auto Malaysia for their Malaysian operations.
Ital Auto Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary of Singapore-based Ital Auto Pte. Ltd, which also holds the same role in the island nation and in turn an affiliate of Komoco Holdings Pte. Ltd, a Shanghai-based regional automotive group that also dabbles in the fields of luxury retail, property, and food business
Arvind can't remember a time when he didn't wheel around a HotWheels car. This love evolved into an interest in Tamiya and RC cars and finally the real deal 1:1 scale stuff. Passion finally lead to formal training in Mechanical Engineering. Instead of the bigger picture, he obsesses with the final drive ratio and spring rates of cars and spends the weekends wondering why a Perodua Myvi is so fast.
