The Perodua Alza driver who beat up a Honda S660 driver with a metal pipe has been arrested in Kota Kinabalu at around 2 pm yesterday (March 31).
Previously, it was reported that a fight between the Alza driver and the 21-year-old S660 driver ensued at a traffic light in Jalan Kolam, Kota Kinabalu where the victim reprimanded the suspect for not using his turn signals.

As a result, the victim found himself missing 7 teeth along with serious injuries to his head and arms.
Kota Kinabalu district police chief, ACP Habibi Majinji told the media the 35-year-old suspect was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kota Kinabalu police head office.

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) also confiscated the Perodua Alza and the weapon used to assault the victim for further investigation.
Habibi further revealed that the suspect is a citizen from the Philippines legally working in Malaysia. He also confirms that the suspect does not have a previous criminal record.

The case will be investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing harm to others.
Harian Metro reports that the victim is now conscious and in a stable condition after he was rescued by other road users and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
