Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, has announced that all remaining pure combustion-engine models have been completely sold out until the end of their production, according to an interview published in Germany's Die Welt newspaper, as cited by Automotive News Europe.
Winkelmann, who also serves as the head of the Volkswagen Group unit, stated that the order books for the Lamborghini Huracan and Urus are now full, signifying the conclusion of the company's production of combustion-engine-only vehicles.

In July of last year, Lamborghini had already revealed plans to invest a minimum of 1.8 billion euros (around RM 9 billion) to develop a lineup of plug-in hybrid cars by 2024. The company also aims to introduce a fully electric model by the end of the current decade.
In his conversation with Die Welt, Winkelmann shared that the upcoming years will witness a replacement of pure combustion engine models with PHEV alternatives. The transition is expected to occur between 2024 and 2025. And after that, the company will launch its first-ever EV.
Winkelmann also anticipated that the PHEV Lamborghini Revuelto would also be completely sold out by the conclusion of 2025.
Lamborghini experienced record-breaking sales figures last year and is determined to achieve another "very good result" in the current year, Winkelmann added.

The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
