Social media has been abuzz when photos of a horrifying crash involving a BMW Z4 and a Suzuki Swift went viral on various platforms. The deadly accident that happened in Thailand resulted in the deaths of 3 victims while the only survivor remains in critical condition.
According to the Na Chaliang Police Station, various witnesses saw the BMW Z4 driving at high speeds from Khao Kho National Park. It was believed that the BMW was heading back to Bangkok at the time of the accident.
Initial investigation revealed that the driver lost control in the wet slippery conditions causing the car to slide across the roads before crashing into the oncoming Suzuki Swift.
Dashcam footage also showed that BMW was zipping through traffic with its top down.
Both occupants in the Swift along with the driver of the BMW Z4 died at the scene. The only survivor of the crash is the 18-year-old passenger of the Z4 who remains in critical condition at the time of writing.
A Thailand news source reported that the BWM’s driver is identified as Suraphak Phuchaiseang, 50, a Bangkok native who is no stranger to controversial news.
Suraphak is the former leader of a pro-democracy group in Thailand that mostly consists of college students. Back in 2015, the 50-year-old famously made headlines for posting online messages defaming the monarch. The case was later dismissed.
There isnโt a time in memory that doesnโt involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle womenโs magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
