Tesla owners can enjoy complimentary charging at 2 locations in Penang - The Ship Campus, All Seasons Place

Tesla Malaysia has unveiled plans to expand its charging network to Penang. The expansion includes the installation of two Destination Charging stations strategically located at key points in the region.

The first Destination Charging Station is situated at The Ship Campus, located at No.1, Education Boulevard, Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Kampung Batu Kawan, 14110 Simpang Ampat, Penang, Malaysia.

This station operates 24 hours a day, providing Tesla owners with uninterrupted access to charging facilities. The outdoor car park, situated outside the main entrance, offers easy accessibility for users.

The second Destination Charging Station is positioned at All Seasons Place, located at 6H-1-21, All Seasons Place, Lebuhraya Thean Teik, 11500 Air Itam, Penang, Malaysia.

Like its counterpart, this station operates round the clock, ensuring Tesla owners can charge their vehicles whenever necessary. The charging station is housed in the ground floor indoor car park.

Tesla's Destination Charging stations offer a seamless charging experience, allowing owners to plug in and enjoy complimentary charging services. Through the Tesla app, users can monitor their vehicle's charging status and receive notifications when ready to embark on their journey. The chargers themselves are rated at 22 kW, although Tesla vehicles in Malaysia only accepts up to 11 kW AC charging.

With 8 chargers at The Ship Campus and 4 chargers at All Seasons Place, the addition of these stations brings the total count of Destination Chargers in Penang to 12, further bolstering Tesla's charging infrastructure in the region.

This expansion complements the existing network, which includes 6 Supercharging stations and 8 Destination Charging stations across Malaysia, offering a combined capacity of 30 Superchargers and 37 Destination Chargers in major cities.
