Tesla Supercharger in Melaka now open, RM 1.25/kWh, free Destination Charging for Tesla owners

Tesla has opened its first Supercharging station in Melaka, facilitating convenient cross-country road trips for Tesla owners in Malaysia and Singapore.

Located at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet, the Supercharging station in Melaka operates 24 hours a day, with free parking available.

The Supercharging rate is RM 1.25 per kWh, and an idle fee of up to RM 4.00 per minute applies when the station is fully occupied. Notably, Tesla Destination Chargers at this location are currently free to use for Tesla vehicle owners until further notice.

The newly launched V3 Supercharging station features four Superchargers and one Destination Charger, expanding the Supercharging network in Malaysia to a total of 20 Superchargers.

The V3 Supercharging station offers a peak efficiency of 250 kW, allowing a Tesla Model 3 to recharge up to 282 km of range in 15 minutes.

Integration with Tesla vehicles and the mobile app enables users to navigate, precondition the vehicle battery, and access charging station information. This includes real-time monitoring of charger availability, charging status, payment, and technical support.
