Speaking to the media following the GLCâs local launch, MBMâs CEO and President, Sagree Sardien, revealed that "the GLC contributes at least 16% to MBMâs total volume sales and cited the exponential growth of SUV sales in Malaysia as the reason for the country to host the debut launch of the model in Southeast Asia".

Besides, the GLCâs popularity also meant that demand outweighed the number of units produced. Sagree told the media, âThere has been a period during the predecessorâs sales where there is no stock, so it is absolutely imperative that we bring in the all-new GLC as quick as possible.â

The GLC has been Mercedes-Benz's best-selling model in many countries around the world, not just Malaysia. It is not only the three-pointed starâs best-selling SUV but also its best-selling model and the all-new GLCâs popularity seems to continue from its predecessor.

Sagree also revealed to the media that the response to the all-new GLC has been overwhelming and that the orders for the CBU units are almost sold out even before its launch. She also added that CKD production plans are currently underway. Customers can experience the all-new GLC at Plaza Arkadia, Desa Parkcity this weekend, 8- to 9-April 2023 from 10 am to 8 pm.
