Throwback! Youtuber uses a tank as an Uber in London

In Malaysia, when we book a standard Grab, more often than not, a Perodua Bezza would turn up at your doorstep. There will be the occasional Honda City and Toyota Vios in the mix, nothing too fancy though. But imagine booking a Grab and a tank showed up instead.

This was precisely what happened in England. Two years ago, Youtuber Josh Pieter (Josh Pieters & Archie Manners) decided to switch up his daily Uber Toyota Prius to a tank.

He then went around London with his crew picking up unsuspecting customers.

While it is illegal to drive a tank around town in Malaysia, it is perfectly legal in the United Kingdom for civilians to buy a tank and use it as they see fit, like using it as an Uber for this case. Note that these tanks have had their weapons systems removed before they can be sold to civilians.

On another note, not only did JP give his Uber customers a ride of a lifetime and made a wedding more special, but he also gave us a glimpse of the streets of London pre-Covid-19. Makes the accumulated two-year wanderlust even worst doesn’t it?
