![UMW looking to sell 22.2 acre land to Perodua for future expansion; deal worth RM 52 million 01]()
UMW Holdings Berhad's subsidiary, UMW Development (UMWD) has proposed the sale of a leasehold land measuring approximately 22.2 acres at its UMW High Value Manufacturing Park in Serendah to Perodua.
According to a Bursa filing yesterday, the cash deal is worth RM 52.27 million. The land was acquired by UMW in 2018 at an initial investment cost of RM15.5 million, however, the filling claims that the net expected gain to UMWD from the land sale will be approximately RM 6.0 million.

The UMW High Value Manufacturing Park is an 861-acre purpose-built manufacturing and industrial park designed to Industry 4.0 standards, which integrates urban spaces and integrated green networks.
The sale of the land by UMWD will improve its working capital and cashflow position, whilst allowing Perodua (of which UMW Holdings owns 38 percent) to expand its business and manufacturing capability.
