Penyelesaian bagi masalah bekalan alat ganti untuk Proton X70 dan X50 kini sedang diusahakan

Semasa acara pelancaran rangkaian baharu barangan Proton R3 pada Sabtu lalu, kami duduk bersama Timbalan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Proton, Roslan Abdullah untuk sesi temuramah ringkas. Pada sesi berkenaan, beberapa pihak telah mengemukakan beberapa soalan kepada beliau mengenai kemas kini terkini tentang masalah kekurangan alat ganti yang dialami oleh Proton.

Bercakap mengenai topik kekurangan alat ganti Proton X50 dan Proton X70, Roslan mengatakan bahawa isu tersebut berpunca daripada sumber komponen tersebut diimport dari beberapa wilayah di China. Menurut beliau lagi, beberapa wilayah di mana pembekal komponen beroperasi telah mengalami masalah kekurangan tenaga elektrik. 

Hal ini kerana China masih bergantung terhadap sumber kuasa janakuasa arang batu, di samping kapasiti tenaga yang boleh diperbaharui pula (solar, hidro dan sebagainya) masih tidak mencukupi untuk memenuhi permintaan tenaga di Tanah Besar.

Masalah gangguan tenaga ini sebahagiannya disebabkan oleh kempen mesra alam yang dilaksanakan oleh China, serta diburukkan pula dengan musim sejuk. Kerajaan tempatan di China telah mengenakan pemotongan kuasa dan catuan ke atas kedua-dua pihak industri dan penduduk. Dalam sesetengah kes, Proton malah terpaksa menggunakan sumber daripada pembekal komponen yang berada di wilayah lain.

Bagi kekurangan alat ganti yang menjejaskan model tempatan Proton seperti Persona, Iriz, Exora, dan Saga, secara kolektifnya dikenali sebagai PIES, Roslan berkata syarikat pembekal tempatan bertanggungjawab terhadap isu ini.

Beliau turut menjelaskan lagi bahawa beberapa pembekal yang membekalkan komponen kepada Proton terlalu menumpukan terhadap pengeluaran pembuatan namun terlepas pandang terhadap pengeluaran alat ganti. Beliau menegaskan bahawa pembekal perlu mengimbangi antara pengeluaran untuk pembuatan dengan alat ganti.

Roslan turut menyentuh topik isu kekurangan minyak pelincir, seperti yang dibawa perhatian oleh sesetengah pihak. Beliau berkata, Proton kini sedang memantau keadaan kerana dikatakan bahawa bekalan pelincir sudah sedia untuk dihantar, tetapi tidak dihantar.

Beliau menambah bahawa pihaknya sedang meneliti isu tersebut, sama ada ia berpunca daripada masalah komunikasi, atau masalah dengan sistem jejak dan pantauan. Beliau juga menambah bahawa keadaan banjir yang berlaku baru-baru ini telah menjejaskan susunan logistik yang sepatutnya menghantar bekalan.

Roslan turut menambah, Proton telah menutup 3 pusat bekalan setempat Regional Parts Centres (RPC) mereka, satu terletak di wilayah utara, satu di pantai timur, dan yang terakhir sekali di wilayah selatan dalam usaha untuk memaksimumkan kecekapan.

Untuk sebuah negara sekecil Malaysia dengan ketersambungan lebuh raya yang baik, jumlah pusat bekalan komponen yang kecil tapi tersebar di seluruh negara boleh memaksimumkan kecekapan apabila trak penghantaran boleh meliputi seluruh Malaysia dalam masa hanya satu hari sahaja.
