Pros
I buy the Honda Accord because of its great exterior! Looks like a race car! Super cool, right? And the seats are comfortable too. Also, the space inside the cabin is large than my expectation. Fuel consumption is satisfying too, so far, I have a fuel consumption around 6-litre / 100 km after 6000 km run.
Cons
Bad ground clearance. I guess this is a sacrifice for the cool look. I have crashed a few times when driving across bumpy roads.

Space

Don’t worry about the space of Honda Accord. I am nearly 175 cm and 83 kg. I don’t feel compact when sit inside. And I have set my driver seat properly, none of my friends feel compact inside. Besides, the boot space is amazing, like a bottomless hole.

Power

Although Accord is only equipped with the 1.5T engine, I don’t feel any lack of power. It is still very easy to finish overtakes on the highway if I am willing to step the acceleration pedal hard.

Ride & Handling

Pretty comfortable ride and handling. Precise steering control. But the body would be a little bit side-tipping when turn at a speed over 60 km/h.

Fuel Economy

There is nothing to compliment already because it is already at the top class from my perspective. 6.2-litre / 100 km, can’t ask for more. Absolutely satisfying. I have once covered 800 km with the full-loaded fuel tank.

Comfort

Honda Accord is positioned as a comfortable sedan so I would not doubt its comfort. It is very stable at high speeds. Seats are comfortable, I don’t feel tired or exhausted after few hours of highway drive.

Exterior

Handsome, as a youngster, I love it, especially the front grille and the fastback.

Interior

Not perfect but certainly not the worst. Quite simple and is all black. Suitable for family use. But it would be better if the interior could be designed younger.

Pros
1.Aside from certain reliability issues above, the car’s engine, transmission, suspension, safety, infotainment, audiovisual systems have performed really well so far. The car is perfect for long-distance highway cruises. In my first two years of ownership, I did plenty of Ipoh-JB, Ipoh-KL drives with some random trips to Penang, Kuantan and Melaka sometimes. 2.It is equipped with Apple Carplay/Android Auto. For me, this is the single best feature offered on this car, the competitors should be embarrassed for not offering such a feature in 2017 when I bought this car. They should have paid attention to the profile of their potential customers like what the Honda Malaysia product planners did. 3.The Honda Lanewatch system deserves praise because of the convenience offered by this safety device. I can even make out cars in the dark and avoided plenty of crazy rempits or food delivery riders from riding into me. 4.Small intelligent things this car can do is inform myself that the keyfob’s battery needs to be replaced via a light symbol at the instrument cluster. 5.Storage spaces in the car is decent, can comfortably fit my water bottle in the door pocket. 6.Other drivers make way for you. Perhaps because they think it’s a government car, LOL. I enjoy this perk even though I didn’t ask for it.
Cons
1.Even though I got used to it, I still hate the foot-operated parking brake. Why couldn’t Honda have fitted in an electrical one? 2.I wasted lots of time, energy and money going to Honda service centres to fix defects and other annoying issues like rattling inside doors, steering wheel misalignment (many times), squeaks in the engine bay, etc. I see Honda’s latest sales are dropping; they deserve it. 3.The NVH of this model, not the best. Should be better. 4.Expensive original spare parts, especially brake pads. 5.I wish the seats were as comfortable as from other brands, these are too stiff. 6.The car was purchased roughly six months before Honda Malaysia updated the 2017 Accords with Honda Sensing. Are you freaking kidding me, product planners! Did you forget the first time?
